That crappie I caught was scarred up too. Lots of those gar are here also, they remind me of barracuda when you can see them stacked up!
    2. George Lay 0
Nice fish btw, I miss catching smaillie
    3. George Lay 0
We catch them down here like that a lot, I always assumed an alligator gar got them and break their tails that way. I may be wrong, was just my thought lol.
    4. Tony DeMeo 0
Thanks Rich, been awhile since I caught a flurry like that.
    5. Tony DeMeo 0

Yep, there was only 1 other boat out there. I went out after 2:00 and was off the water by 4:00. I wish all days could be like that.
    2. Alvin Randolph 0
Man...did you have the area to yourself.
    3. Rich Pardy 0
      Nice striper!!
    4. Tony DeMeo 0
That's kind of funny, I would have thought they would know the best. Thanks again!
    5. Eric Moore 0
No longer stocking hybrids, that is
    6. Eric Moore 0
You're welcome, I've had game wardens call for back up, second opinion, because they couldn't tell lol we've only had that problem on priest though, ...more to my knowledge they are no longer stocking them in Cordell old hickory or cheatham so if you catch one it should be a big one
    7. Tony DeMeo 0
Thanks for straightening me out Eric. It's still hard for me to tell them apart.
    8. Eric Moore 0
Hey Tony, great day! The one you're holding in the picture there is a white bass/stripe I'm 99.9% sure, just in case you ever want to keep any of them there's ...more no size limit on those. They look very similar to the hybrids and it can be very difficult to tell the difference but if you're below Cordell old hickory or Cheatham 99% of the time it's a stripe/white bass. They are tasty, I've A few hundred this month myself!
    9. Tony DeMeo 0
Thanks Christopher. Fastest action I've had in awhile! Fall fishing in January, very cool.
    10. Christopher Pereira 0
man you caught a lot of fish these two trips!!!

About

I moved to the area about 2 years ago from northern Illinois. First thing I found out was that my 12' johnboat wasn't going to work out to well ...more for me, lol. I am used to fishing smaller, weedier natural lakes so I'm still adjusting to the style of fishing and the size of the water. I fish Cordell Hull for the most part because it's close but have been trying Center Hill and Percy Priest more lately.
