Finally Whacked em this morn. 1st limit in the new rig. Working LA shoreline by garrisons ridge. 4ft water. Targeting scatter shell/mud. Drift till ya get a ...more thump, then power pole/anchor dwn and enjoy. Took lil bit to figure em out. They wanted it popped real hard and would nail it at the top. Made it hard to get Gd hook sets. Lots of lil ones too. Bout 6 to 1 keeper. But few big ones too

    1. wsslammer 0

I feel ya on tryin get the new rig out too. I've been tryin too but man. It's been some rough weather to be learning a new boat in for sure @ChanceHuiet.
    3. wsslammer 0

    1. wsslammer 0
@natepnguyen They look like a dead fish floating on side when u see em most time. Look closely round anything floating like trash or debris.
    2. wsslammer 0

  9. Details: Cobia (Ling) with a live finger mullet/spoons.

This was Friday morn after storms passed bout 5/6 miles out of Sabine. Water clarity is awesome rt now. Lots of big mats of sea weed with lot of bait around and ...more big ling.

    1. wsslammer 0
@MulletHead It's an 18'6 bay stealth. For an 18ft bay boat it can take a beating. But glad it laid over for Lil bit for us Friday.
    2. Gabe Mitchell 0
Solid adventure. How big is your bay boat?
    3. wsslammer 0
Also sight casted at two other nice Ling but they mighta got line shy? Wouldn't take a live finger mullet in their face. Some big triple tail out too. Keep ...more an eye out while running around.
    4. wsslammer 0
Didn't have that much time to play unfortunately. Caught few trout. But managed to hook a huge ling only to watch him jump bout 3ft up and somehow cut or break ...more 80lb suffix.
