  2. Details: Largemouth Bass

I walked about 3 miles through the woods today and literally stumbled across a full on lake. In the middle of the woods. It looks virtually unfished. In one hour ...more I caught 20 that were all over 1.5lbs with this being the largest around 2lbs. I threw a weightless trickworm in between algae deposits and got some strong strikes, as well as this frog and a shallow crankbait - along the bank

    1. crookcody19 0
Woo woo woo back off my territory! Ahaha jk but if it looks unfished I'd keep it secret.
    2. Sean Wilms 0

  3. Details: Bluegill Sunfish

went back in the creek for the first time in a few weeks because I've been so busy with school. I used my ultralight combo and caught about 12 bluegill and 4 ...more bass on the mepps #1 (silver blade) and the mini reb craw crankbait. I fished deep holes where the water was colder and still and they seemed to house bluegill and bass trying to escape the hot sun today. All in all a successful afternoon!

    1. virginia_angler 0
      it's a go to for sure @FISH_FEST

    7. virginia_angler 0

  5. Details: Bluegill Sunfish with a red/brown size 1 rooster tail

I went out to one of my secret catfish ponds (that contains a 34lb channel cat) and planned to catch some gills to use as cut bait for catfish. With the water temperature ...more so low the bluegill bite was slow and only came out with this one. The outside temp was about 50 degrees with a slight breeze. I casted along a weed bank to catch this one.

    1. virginia_angler 0

Took a day trip down to a couple secret spots on the Tye River in the Shenandoah region. It was about 42 degrees and the water being a little cold from the front ...more earlier this week, but managed to catch my PB River chub. Tossed the corn/bobber next to fallen log surrounded by rocks and it took it within about 30 seconds. Saw a couple trout but weren't willing to bite.

Waited for the front to move out and headed for the creek with some jerk baits hoping to get a pickerel.. I wasn't disappointed. Casted in a deep area with some ...more fallen logs and reeled down to depth and followed a "twitch, twitch, pause, reel" pattern an this fatty slammed it.

  8. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Caught this little dude on my new combo. With some money from blowing leaves I got a st. Croix mojo bass and a diawa tatula. The combo runs ...more really smooth and it works really well for throwing plastics

Fishing on a not so legal pond with a friend the other day when it was about 25 degrees in the morning. Went out with 4in senko and didn't have any luck. The ...more pond was shallow so I decided something that would attract those more aggressive fish would work. I threw on the crankbait and the chartreuse because the water was a little stained and caught this little dude! There's still fish to be caught!
