1. Details: Largemouth Bass with a pumpkin seed brush hog

Personal best, 7.5lbs! Was working the shoreline looking for spawning beds. Didn't hit hard but when she broke the surface and I saw the size of her head, knew ...more she was big! fought hard as I got her close to the boat

      water was like tea

  2. Details: Largemouth Bass with a H2O 3.5" jointed shad swimbait

biggest of the six I caught today but probably not as big as the one that broke my line!

      Nice catch
  3. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Lunker Hunt black frog

today was a day of firsts! First bass from my kayak, first time fishing Lake Bastrop and first bass on a Lunker Hunt frog! 68℉ no wind, all in 4'-6', overcast. Ended ...more up with 6 fish on 3 different lures; the frog (black), H2O jointed shad swimbait and a Grande Bass 4.75" rattlesnake in watermelon with red flake. Bite was real aggressive so I don't think it would have mattered what I threw!

Congrats on all the Firsts. Lol
  4. How not to store your treble hooks, looks like I'm headed to the urgent care

    1. Jimmy_wood 0
I was with a friend who's dad was a firefighter and the pulled it out for me
    2. russellg4 0
      Pull it through
    3. Eric Eric 0
@allhookedup I think I've seen that on YouTube!
    4. Eric Eric 0
@whitebass_81 I thought about that, but I was already at the ER. They cut the hook and were able to back it out rather than push it through
    5. Tim Taylor 0
the string method would be the best thing....if it's done right!
    6. whitebass_81 0
      Probably too late now
    7. whitebass_81 0
Push barb through your skin then cut off the tip then pull it back out
    8. Eric Eric 0
@jimmy_wood did you pull it out yourself? I thought about cutting it and just pushing the barb through
    9. kisbass 0
Good luck man that crap sucks
    10. Jimmy_wood 0
Thats funny cause a month ago that happen to me with like the same size treble in the same spot
    11. Eric Eric 0
I already tried pulling it out myself and nearly passed out, think I'll just let the dr handle it!
    12. DaPikeKilla 0
Pull it out, clean it, cover it and keep on fishing
    13. Owe good luck!
    14. johnybass 0
Bummer, double shot of rumplemitz, wait 3 minutes till you tingle and go, good luck man
    15. Gabe Mitchell 0
Only one option there, pull straight back out hard. Good luck bud

  5. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Reaction Strike popper frog

You can't beat frog fishing! I saw this guy come up twice so cast past him then walked the frog to where I figured he was. He missed it on the first strike but ...more I popped it once and let it sit and he crushed it the second time! Exactly 3lbs

    1. Eric Eric 0
      @MagicYaker I was bank fishing
    2. Eric Eric 0
      @magicyaler I was BMO fishing
    3. How did you get back ther? Or were you bank fishing?
    4. thedevman1 0
Just picked up a frog at academy. They aren't one of those lures that works every cast but when you get a hit it's explosive!

  6. Happy 4th of July to all! Hope everyone gets some fishing in this weekend!

  7. Details: Largemouth Bass with a reaction strikes popper frog

I love topwater bites! Not all the bass have moved to deeper water and with the right conditions you can't beat fishing a frog. This guy crushed it first bite, ...more both hooks going through the top jaw. This particular frog from Reaction Strikes works great in thick cover and has a great action. Had another strike but after 3 attempts couldn't hook him! Overcast, 88 degrees, light southerly breeze.

  8. Details: Largemouth Bass with a 5/16 shaky head jig, zoom motor oil and red flake ribbon tail worm

Fish 4 & 5 both caught on the shaky head. Bite died after that but these were both good 2lbers

  9. Details: Largemouth Bass with a AR Lures Pencil 90 topwater

LOVE topwater bites! This AR Lure has a beautiful finish and a nice action. I added an oval split ring to emphasize the action a little more. I got 4 nice strikes ...more on the topwater but three of them missed, got this guy though!

  10. Details: Largemouth Bass with a 3/16 finesse jig with craw trailer

Overcast, water murky after all the rain. Just a slight breeze and humid. This one was a nice fight, came to the surface and jumped trying to throw the hook

    1. Eric Eric 0
I think so, but try different colors or variations. I always try and match my colors to the water so muddy or stained I'll use darker lures then clearer water ...more I'll go with more reds, chartreuse
    2. thedevman1 0
Nice. Is dark blue a good color for murky or muddy water ? There's ponds I'd like to fish but I'm not sure what colors are best.
