Has anybody used the shimano curado ej? If so what do u think of it? I'm thinking about getting it.

300 series Curado is overkill for what you say you want to use it for. Look at the Curado 200i or a Chronarch 200e. Much smaller and more of what you would want
    2. cesarmedina5 0
or you can get the newish Shimano curado i
    3. cesarmedina5 0
      different use for it
    4. cesarmedina5 0
x2 with @geoffreypolefko .. the 300 idk if you have seen it or have held it but its huge and would seem uncomfortable when hokding the rod and reel for long periods ...more of time unless you have a d

the chronarch also is great for pitching lures to catch flounder and trout
    6. Geoffrey Polefko 0
is only 199.99. then paired with an h20 xpress ethos rod is amazing. and if you can find the texas slam ethos rod it has the fish lengths marked on it for you.

personally I would go with the chronarch 200e7 that reel has been super good for me held up on big slot reds and even a black drum which was about 35 inches. the ...more chronarch has great drag on it and

  3. Details: Spotted (Speckled) Trout with a Croaker, topwater plugs, and soft plastics

Need help with a bait caster reel

    1. Jimmy_Lynch 0
Look for a Shimano Chronarch E series. They are on sale at Cabelas and are exactly what you are looking for. or a Curado I
    2. Conner Mahan 0
Plus if somthing breaks or somthing goes wrong with the reel send it to shimano and they will fix it for free they have by far the best customer service
    3. Conner Mahan 0
Go shimano check out the new curado and chronarch also u can get the shimano curado 300 e or ej or check out the shimano caenan I fish it in Salt all the time and ...more it's held up well
    4. Reel_Smooth 0
Except i roll with a lil of everything. Lol!! Revo Sx, Revo Inshore, Quantum X Factor, 6600c4, and a 7000ic3.

      👍
    6. stexasbowhunter 0
      Thanks @Reel_Smooth
    7. Reel_Smooth 0
It manhandles bull reds and drums. Pulled lil 3-4 sharks like nothin also.
    8. Reel_Smooth 0
Revo Inshore is the best crossover reel you can get period. Everything about it is saltwater grade. Hence "inshore" The chronarch is also a great reel. ...more But the Revo pushes 20+lb of drag.

      Daiwa costal bait caster
    10. Geoffrey Polefko 0
And pair it with an h2o xpress ethos inshore slam rod. that rod can handle anything you hook into
    11. Geoffrey Polefko 0
shimano chronarch is the best reel to do that
    12. Esgar Montalvo 0
      Shimano Calcutta
    13. daddysdayoff 0
If you throw a lot of topwaters I would spend the money on a good lightweight rod. You can get a shimano citica a little cheaper then a curado or chronarch and ...more there is not a very big difference.
    14. kp_fisher 0
I use a Calcutta 100b and love it, it's built like a tank. Handles everything from mangrove snapper to bull reds and everything in between. All around great ...more reel I also use it for bass
    15. kp_fisher 0
I've got a couple buddies and we fish poc all summer both of them have chronarchs and love them One also has a curado 200i and doesn't like it near as ...more much as his e7
    16. stexasbowhunter 0
      Thanks @sam_lynch
    17. sam_lynch 0
Shimano curado 200i or shimano chronarch 200e7. Both great reels.
