      Not gonna lie. Turtle soup is great. We use snapping turtles. Been awhile since we've done it though.

    71 * 10 pm -12am 18 mph south wind was tough . Fishing a 1/2 carolina rig off the bottom 20 yds out in about 8 fow with 2" gut cut shad .

    Double hook rig off the bottom worked well tonight . Caught 1 blue 3 channels & 2 bullheads plus a bucket of shad with my little 3ft bait net .

    2mph winds water temp's around 60* using the double hook rig set 2&3 ft off the bottom with whole and cut shad .

    Here's how to keep bait fresh and on hand if the bait shops a 20mi away . 1 20gal aquarium $12 , 1 water filter $8 (don't use charcoal) ,1 oxygen pump $6 ...more and 1/2 lb med minnows $9 . CHEAP

    14mph s wind behind me 59* water temp walking the edge fishing the drop offs from the bank 18-24 in under a slip bobber .

      @Kieran_Hanley just about anything will hit crawfish crank bait . I like float'n minnows for the bigger crappie but jigs work too . Road runners ,plastic lizards ...more and spinners work too . Good luck .

    Walk' the edge with a slip bobber set about 18" looking for crappie when this guy jumped my minnow . Turned out a descent 20"er around 5pbs . Gave ...more a good fight on a crappie hook thats for sure .
