Thanks! @bassinboy01 I wasn't 100% positive I could use them as bait, but I couldn't find anything on TPW about them being a game fish so I figured I might ...more as well give it a shot. It paid off!
    2. Jacob Breaux 0
Nice! Way to use the whiting as bait. Pretty safe bet is to use whatever you're catching on the bait rods. Good stuff
    3. olenarey87 0
      Thanks! @txfisherman713 @King_Fisher
    4. olenarey87 0

    1. olenarey87 0
@GarcuaJu you are entitled to your opinion, but I'm gonna disagree and say that it's to big to eat. Anything over 10 pounds I release.
    2. GarcuaJu 0
That's a small cat not even big enough to eat
    3. olenarey87 0
Of nice cats out there. As well as plenty of bait fish to keep them healthy and well fed as you can see by this guys gut. @get_bitjr
    4. olenarey87 0
No sir. Someone I know has a private pond that is about the same size (if not a little bigger than sunshine). He noodles and releases some of the fish he catches ...more in it and has a healthy population...

    1. olenarey87 0
Yeah, I decided he could keep my hook and I just cut him loose. Rather replace a hook than a finger! @FISH_FEST

Was fishing for cats when I had a good run and reeled this guy in. He was a fun catch, but would have preferred a nice blue or flathead!

    1. olenarey87 0
