1. Details: Largemouth Bass

First tournament of the year on Patrick Henry. One of the toughest lakes in the state on my opinion. We finished with 12.1 and got the win. Almost won big fish as ...more well, but got beat by ounces. Good day overall!

  2. Details: Smallmouth Bass with a Shad

Good day out on the water with @HarrCuts. Caught hybrids, smallmouth, largemouth, and spots. Pitching along rock bluffs and waiting for the line to tighten up.

      @TennesseeTroutboy
    2. mharr32 0
Yeah. I have a bait tank I keep them in overnight. Great bait and not hard to catch.
    3. TennesseeTroutboy 0
You did that the night before?
    4. mharr32 0
@TennesseeTroutboy Yeah. Just throw out some lights and wait on them to school up.
    5. TennesseeTroutboy 0
How do you get your shad? Cast nets?

  3. Details: Longnose Gar with a Shad

A first for me today. Caught this little gar while fishing for smallies. Never hooked one before, so I was pretty pumped about the new species.

      @TennesseeTroutboy
    2. mharr32 0
Sorry man. Never even saw this. It's a Lowe. Flat bottom with a tunnel. And it's jet drive instead of a prop. I absolutely love it. I'm able to run in ...more about 4 inches of water.
    3. TennesseeTroutboy 0
What type of boat do you have?
    4. TennesseeTroutboy 0
      Looks like you got lucky
    5. mharr32 0
@TennesseeTroutboy I set it right when he ate it. Thought it was a smallie so I didn't know. I hooked him right in the tip of the nose.
    6. TennesseeTroutboy 0
Nice did you let him run or did you set the hook immediately

  4. Details: Smallmouth Bass with a Jerkbait

Ripping smallies with my brother-in-law on a beautiful day. 70 degrees with very little wind. Working the jerkbait through the current slowly and waiting for a slam. ...more Ended the incredible day with 72 fish. The spring smallmouth bite is here!

    1. TennesseeTroutboy 0
My spring break is the week of spring turkey
    2. mharr32 0
Jerkbaits are just warming up here. The water where I'm fishing is a lot warmer than lake water right now as well @Mason_Cizek
    3. mharr32 0
It was my spring break and ended up redoing a shotgun and building a turkey blind instead @TennesseeTroutboy
    4. Mason Cizek 0
Fished cranks on norris last weekend. Only ended up with 10 smallies. With 1 keeper in the mix. Jerkbaits werent doin to well sadly
    5. TennesseeTroutboy 0
      What kept you from going
    6. mharr32 0
They should be eating out on Dale. Almost went last week myself. @TennesseeTroutboy
    7. TennesseeTroutboy 0
Beautiful smallies, I'm heading to Dale in a week

  5. Details: Hybrid Striped Bass with a Trolling

Back in the summer sticking it to the stripers with my mom. Always fun to get her out on the water and sharing what I love to do. Glad I could get her her first ...more striper.

  6. Details: Hybrid Striped Bass with a Trolling

My PB striper to date. Caught him back in 2013 in June. This is the one that truly got me addicted to catching stripers. 43 lbs. Gotta keep working to get the lake ...more record, though.

    1. mharr32 0
@theactualbrent weight isn't a must. For me it just depends on the time of year and what size/species of shad you have
    2. Brent Ramsey 0
So for boone lake just throw it out and leave it? Do you put any weight on it?
    3. mharr32 0
@theactualbrent It just depends on where I'm fishing. If the water is calm, like a lake, I'm gonna leave the bait out longer than I would in swift river ...more water
    4. Brent Ramsey 0
What's the technic when fishing with shad. Do you let the bait sit for a while or light reel retrieve or what?
    5. mharr32 0
      Sounds like a plan @TennesseeTroutboy
    6. TennesseeTroutboy 0
Alright @mharr32 I'm going to take my boat to chick sometime then and I'll stop by
    7. mharr32 0
      @King_Fisher thanks!
    8. mharr32 0
@TennesseeTroutboy Thanks, man. You've gotta get over here sometime in the summer! I'll put you on them and the trout!
    9. TennesseeTroutboy 0
Monster Rockfish, I'm sure you can beat it
    10. King_Fisher 0
      Awesome fish!
    11. mharr32 0
I can't find an exact number right now, but I believe it's somewhere around 57 or 58. @bassman3869

      How big is the LR?

  7. Details: Hybrid Striped Bass with a Trolling

One of the most rewarding parts of striper fishing to me: letting that monster live to fight another day. It's great to feel that kick and watch him swim off ...more after an awesome fight.

    1. Casting22Major 0
      Nice one
  8. Details: Hybrid Striped Bass with a Trolling

Back in the summer getting on the stripers. Can't wait to be out of school so I can hit it again. Nothing like fighting a monster in freshwater!

    1. Jose_Can_senko 0
I'm with you on that... I can't wait for summer to get back on the topwater striper bite...
  9. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Swimbait

Fish I caught after we had released the rest of our bag a couple days ago. Bad picture, but best I could do on my own. 20 inch board and a 23 and 3/4 inch largemouth. ...more Cold day but the swimbait got it done.

    1. mharr32 0
      Yeah man. Real slow @OBXoriginal
    2. Brian Estes 0
Heck yeah man!! @mharr32 did you slow crank that swimbait?
    3. mharr32 0
Here you go. Just for follow up on the other pic @OBXoriginal

  10. Details: Smallmouth Bass with a Swimbait

Had an awesome day slamming smallies and nice largemouth on Ft. Patrick Henry. Hard lake to fish, but managed this solid bag and added a 6 pounder later. Cold, cold ...more day with cold water temperatures. The bite was slow, but we managed to find good fish.

    1. Brian Estes 0
      Heck yeah! Good bag man
    2. mharr32 0
This pic was taken when I was dropping my friend at the dock. We turned all these fish loose and then I caught that fish by myself. Have a pic of him on the tape ...more from my go pro but that's it. @OBXoriginal
    3. Brian Estes 0
Why wouldn't you take a pic of the 6 pounder
    4. TennesseeTroutboy 0
Ya it starts to get a little ridiculous after that
    5. mharr32 0
We had to beat the ice off of the eyes of the rod and the revo's after every cast. It was nuts how cold it got. @TennesseeTroutboy
    6. TennesseeTroutboy 0
Ok I can't hardly get out with all the Ice out
    7. mharr32 0
No. They're generating a lot, so a lot of water flow in and out is preventing ice @TennesseeTroutboy
    8. TennesseeTroutboy 0
Was there any Ice on the lake
    9. mharr32 0
@TennesseeTroutboy all fish varied. Really weird day. Caught them in 10 FOW and in 60 FOW. Super tough bite.
    10. Zachary McLeod 0
      Nice catch
    11. TennesseeTroutboy 0
How deep were you catching them.
