      Also if you have a lot of time, might try some cut bait. Just let it sit on the bottom in 10-15 FOW and you will usually hook up something.

      When your fishing a new spot you want to stick with the basics and use lures that will cover a lot of ground since you won't know where the fish are. Try some ...more spinners/rooster tails, jigs.
