1. I have always fish with a spinning reel and I'm really successful. It's time for me to try something new so I figure why not a baitcaster they seem hard ...more to use but a lot of my friends use one and say there so much better. Advice needed

The thing about getting a cheaper one, is that your going to want to upgrade quick. @TheREELdeal so i say spend the extra cash for a good one. If not you could always ...more sell or trade it really quick.

a diawa laguna is a good start, abu garcia black or blue max, h2o express has some nice reels but like @Reel_Smooth says you have to find the most comfortable reel ...more to you

It really all comes down to personal preference, and what feels good in your hand. But i would say dont start off to cheap, cause you know how it goes, you get what ...more you pay for. I personally am a big

My first was the Abu black max. Perfect for a first casting reel

I would suggest an h20 xpress mettle from academy. Cheap reel that performs better than most twice its price

Live frogs, live minnows, top water frogs (H0rny Toads), flicker shads, spinnerbaits. Depends on the structures in the pond and time of year
