      I've used yum dinger with chartreuse colored tail on a weighted 3/0 offset hook.....works real nice for me

      If there isn't many fish a good option, not necessarily the best, would be a weighted/un-weighted brush hog/sweet beaver and bounce it along the bottom with ...more a slower retrieve then you would usually

    5 pound smallie on 20lb braid, shimano curado reel, great place. They stocked it with thousands of hybrid trout so now there is trout fishing to!

I fish all of the time, I use a shimano curado on a stiff 7' rod.
