Caught a few good fish on Boggs today. Fish were holding to the rip rap banks and chunk rock. Caught most of the fish sitting on beds late spawn. 7-4 FOW. Water ...more pretty clear.75-76* water temp. 70* air temp. Dragging the tube on the rip rap and the females would swallow it up. Sunny skies with clouds coming in later in the day. Very very slight breeze.

Water murky with the heavy rain we had for 3 days. Dragging and hopping the tube on the bottom and they would nail it. All fish were in 3-5 FOW. Also caught some on squarebills.

    4. Colby Teall 0
Nice fish. Looks like 4.5-5 lbs to me.
    5. TheDirtyPelican 0
I can see it. That was just my guess.
    6. huntingandfishing 0
Nah, I'll tell you right now it was more than 4! Haha that picture does her no justice. I'm guessing 4 1/2-5. That fish was fat as a hog @FloridaFly
    7. TheDirtyPelican 0
      Maybe just under.
    8. TheDirtyPelican 0
      I'd say solid 4.

Went to the creek this morning/evening and caught quit a few smallmouth and big rockbass. Air temp around 85*. Dragging the tube with the occasional hop. Fast current ...more with a deeper bank seemed to be key to catching them. Lost my biggest smallie tonight being 4+. Had him about 4 foot from me and my line just randomly snapped.

  4. Whacked em on monroe the other day. Caught em flipping bushes with tubes and throwing senkos up against the bushes. Air temp was around 80-83*. Water temp was 79-81. ...more Fish were up in about 4-2 FOW. Lake is still up about 5 foot so fish are up in the willows.

  5. Details: Largemouth Bass with a stupid tube rig

Not butting in or anything just recently came upon this picture and thought I would share. This is mainly what I use for rigging tubes because it is weedless and ...more glides through timber with ease

    1. huntingandfishing 0
Oh. We'll you can do just about anything with a tube. Texas rig, Carolina rig, etc..@Hunting_Pro243
    2. PA_Hunter243 0
Yeah I know but I dident know of the other ways
    3. huntingandfishing 0
Huh? That's just one way to rig a tube? @Hunting_Pro243
    4. PA_Hunter243 0
I mainly use the one on the bottom
    5. huntingandfishing 0
Ah I got it now @MulletHead
    6. huntingandfishing 0
@MulletHead is there anyway to search a lake?
    7. zane zane 0
That's why I make sure my tubes are made of thicker material man, don't tear as easily. Check out PoorBoyBaits. Made right here in Indiana. Green Pumpkin ...more tube! Best tubes I've used! @huntingandfishing
    8. huntingandfishing 0
@latenitecycler you should post a picture of that rig and tag me in it
    9. Richard Shadler 0
@huntingandfishing For the center bal. white/silver pattern. Fleeing bait fish. I don't go any bigger then 3" on both. The gold/brown fat as I can go. White/silver ...more I'll use skinnys!
    10. Richard Shadler 0
@huntingandfishing More so a jig with the "vcm". I use a brown/gold pattern. Stop & go action. Try to mimic a Goby or perch feeding off bottom.
    11. huntingandfishing 0
What does it stand up off the bottom like a jig head or shakey head? @latenitecycler
    12. Richard Shadler 0
@huntingandfishing I had to get some made from my buddy. Balance is everything!
    13. Richard Shadler 0
@huntingandfishing I do use a similar hook to the Trokar "VCM" when bouncing bottom in deep water. But the center bal works great in open water! Crappie ...more & Bass love the action! Hard to find though!
    14. huntingandfishing 0
It really tears the tubes up rigging it stupid though. @Zhennig
    15. huntingandfishing 0
@Zhennig yeah I know of a few other people that use it. It's better for in the grass but otherwise I'll use a Trokar tube hook with just a lead weight.
    16. huntingandfishing 0
      @latenitecycler ^^^
    17. huntingandfishing 0
Yeah give it a try! I'll definitely give what you said a try! Having the weight inside gives the tube a really hard swoop and glide when you stitch it.
    18. zane zane 0
@huntingandfishing been using the stupid rig for as long as I can remember bro! It's caught me big bass and won me a lot of tournaments! Glad to other anglers ...more using it! (:
    19. Richard Shadler 0
Nice blert! Never thought of rigging like so! I mostly use center bal, standard rig. Gives the tube a nice side to side action. Mimics a minnow panicking! @huntingandfishing ...more Give it a go once!

@johnadman this is not your picture so quit claiming it as yours. I hate seeing little kids like you claiming pictures as there own to try and impress us. So quit ...more doing it!

    1. huntingandfishing 0
Alright I did have it deleted but Chuck wanted me to repost it to let you know. Ill shoot you a PM when I come upon another. I can't stand people posted others ...more pictures also. Gets on my last nerves @MulletHead
    2. Gabe Mitchell 0
Thanks, he's been dealt with. Report violators of our "post your own pics" rule to me or any other staffer. I have zero tolerance for it
    3. Chuck LaBruna 0
..impress people, not making things up. And even so, it's dumb to even worry about impressing anyone. I'm old-school...like me for me, if not oh well. 😉
    4. Chuck LaBruna 0
@FishForFood Haha, yeah that did my brain in for a while today hahaha. But it sure is the truth. Why go all out of your way to BS people just to impress them? Doing ...more something you're proud of will..
    5. corey 0
      I understand bro....if it ain't yours don't claim it @huntingandfishing
    6. huntingandfishing 0
It's deep because we are tired of people claiming pictures that aren't there's!!! @FishForFood
    7. corey 0
      @wyldechylde77 that's deep
    8. Chuck LaBruna 0
...impress and be proud for YOURSELF. Show your catches because you are proud, not because you wanna impress anybody. Take that to the bank as a life lesson as well.
    9. Chuck LaBruna 0
... to ridicule once it's discovered, and after that it doesn't matter what you catch because no one will believe you. And a big thing, don't worry about ...more impressing people, no one is worth all that..
    10. Chuck LaBruna 0
If you wanna impress anybody, show us YOUR catches. Even a bluegill can be impressive by the amount of people who cannot catch them and the story of its catch. Faking ...more a pic as your own only leads...

  7. Details: Black Crappie with a yellow/orange/black streamer on Pfleuger fly rod

Decided to break out the fly rod after many years. HUMID with no wind. With the mosquitos, gnats, and flys on top of the water the bluegill, catfish, and crappie ...more were eating them up. Threw the streamer out, let it sink about half a foot to a foot, then pop it back to the surface around a fallen pine limb and they would eat it up. Fun time catching these little buggers!

    1. Fisherman_Rob 0
Why even take a pic of this it's a tiny crappie dont post this
    2. Nolan Yeager 0
Sorry dude but it's a black. No matter the age
    3. matt matt 0
      It's obviously a black crappie
    4. matt matt 0
No it's not a cross it's black crappie!!
    5. huntingandfishing 0
Alright I'll give you it. I think it might be a cross though. It's young too so it could just show signs of a black crappie but really be a white. @Fierce_flies
    6. matt matt 0
It has nothing to do with how dark or light they are
    7. matt matt 0
No it's a black cause he spots are going horizontal whites are vertical
    8. huntingandfishing 0
Nah it's a white crappie. May look dark in the picture but it's a white. @Fierce_flies

Pre fishing for a tournament in a couple weeks and caught some good fish!! Throwing the shakey head up in about 2-3 FOW and slowly dragging it back. Fish are spawn-post ...more spawn. 65-68* water temp. 80* air temp with sunny sky's and the occasional clouds.

    1. huntingandfishing 0
I wasn't either. Thanks for the comment though! @FloridaFly
    2. TheDirtyPelican 0
I'm not here to argue that was just my guess boss. I know pics can either make a fish look tiny or make a fish looks huge. By none the less both are great fish.
    3. huntingandfishing 0
@FloridaFly this is 4. And that fish I just posted was a lot bigger. I wasn't holding that fish I just posted out at all

  9. Picked up another Falcon cara micro yesterday and a new reel. Never buying an Abu again!! Abu is WAYYY overpriced for what you get. Lews all the way. My revo s hasn't been casting as well because my brother literally casted it into the water. Even tho I cleaned it out oiled and and greased it, it never casted ...more as well.
    2. huntingandfishing 0
Yeah it's not I was just wondering if yours was coming off. Still interested in the deps? @bmlum
    3. Brandon Lum 0
Probably a good idea. its not a big deal to me whether its on it or not.
    4. huntingandfishing 0
Yeah I was going to super glue it on. I thought about just pulling it off and doing that @bmlum
    5. Brandon Lum 0
On my TP it did after a year of use, i just glued it back on.
    6. huntingandfishing 0
Have you had a problem with the little "lews" emblem on the left side falling off? It seems like it would easily. No big deal though @bmlum
    7. Brandon Lum 0
Thats what ive told people. I broke a gen 3 revo winch like 3rd trip out and my buddy broke 2 revo stx's. I fish almost all shimano now except i have a few lews/daiwas
    8. huntingandfishing 0
I just don't think Abu is built as well. the spools have just a slight wobble side to side on them and a very light grind and bump every now and then when you ...more reel.
    9. huntingandfishing 0
Oh don't get me wrong I like the 2 Abus I have but lews is way better. I don't hardly fish with the big round reels but my dad has some of the older round ...more reels. @MulletHead
    10. Gabe Mitchell 0
I prefer Lews low profile reels and Abu larger reels
    11. Gabe Mitchell 0
Yes. There all made in China. Lews are made by Ryobi I think. They both fish great,
    12. huntingandfishing 0
I feel that the Swedes are ripping us off!!😠 the older reals they had were better. Lews is bringing that back and it's affordable! @MulletHead have you been ...more able to fish with a lews before?
    13. Gabe Mitchell 0
How do you really feel about Abu? 😀
    14. huntingandfishing 0
Yeah I love war eagle spinnerbaits. Those are what I will only buy. @thefishhunter7

    2. PA_Hunter243 0
By looking at you other blerts it looks like a lot of your catches are on chatter baits. I always under estimate them and never bought one. I'm gonna have to ...more buy some
    3. huntingandfishing 0
Thanks man. I sure would love to be able to fish 24/7, 365 like you guys! Fishing is just now starting to kick in here. Have a tournament Saturday and hope to catch ...more some keepers! @Cowboy713
