    First shark of the night for my buddy. 4ft on the dot blacktip, ate a large chunk of cownose that was dropped 300 ish yards.

    Fishing with two teammates, one from Waxahatchie, the other from Oklahoma, neither had ever caught a shark (or even saltwater fished) until about a year ago. They've ...more been wanting to get one some from the sand and I was finally able to put them on one. Not a monster but a nice 4ft class fish. Caught on a penn 6/0 senator with 50# mono and custom leader.

    On the board with a nice bull shark this morning, slammed a gafftop around 9am, didn't fight too hard but he was tagged and released healthy. 66", 55"fork, ...more 32"girth. Water is great and bait is everywhere.... Pelicans are stupid and keep running into lines

    Taking up our shark lines for the night and felt kicking at the bar... Somehow we managed to catch someone else's leader and land this big bull red, he had a ...more hook lodged in his throat so we cut it out and let him go, didn't even measure it. Small bites taken out of the shark bait but nothing significant

    Day 1 summary: big waves, muddy to sandy at best... Current like a river. Had a very unproductive first day, fought current and tackle malfunctions all day, then ...more at 10pm I had one of my big jack heads cut off my something. Lost all my mono, leader, two hooks, couple weights... All we can do is hope for better conditions tomorrow.

    Surf looks great!! Calm, not a wave past the first bar. Muddy in close gradually getting greener. Gonna drop rays on the bolivar end of the peninsula but Im seeing ...more shrimp boats fairly close... Hope they don't bother us

      Calm green seas are expected throughout the week. Dropping some big baits every night, somethings gonna happen. firm believer that the bigger sharks roam the beaches ...more at night with this green water.
