      Also if you buy a used one you can have more options. I had a limit like you and looked at a pescador cuz it's a great deal. Bought a used ocean kayak 13 for ...more $500 with some patience.

      for your price range the pascador from academy is probably the best bang for your buck. the design is is one of the tarpon designs so it tracks well and is pretty ...more stable.
