      good fish
  2. Hot humid day, bright skies with big puffy white clouds, wind blowing my drift from west to east side of shipping channel. Typical hit on a bondy bait, felt a "tick" ...more on the downstroke of my vertical jig and then the electricity of a live fish on the upstroke and then immediately set the hook. Good fight for about 90seconds before I corralled her into the net. First musky of the year for me! 35 inches.

10 lb. 8 oz. 35 in. Muskellunge with a Bondy Bait (black)

  3. 27" pike while fishing for largemouth, which I caught for of. Nothing spectacular about this catch other than it was cool to catch a pike using a top water ...more bait, a first for me. Also it gave me the opportunity to post a pic on Fishidy wearing my brand new solar shirt, also a first for me :D

27 in. Northern Pike with a Zara Spook

  4. Michigan Master Angler Sheephead, 26-1/2" 8lb 9oz. Was fishing for smallmouth and on my last cast of the night I hooked this beast. One helluva fight, I thought ...more at first I had a new state record smallie, LOL! Fishing a rocky outcrop in the Trenton Channel just north of my house.

Fishing the banks, need a light jig head (1/8 oz) so you can keep the bait suspended in the water column without having to retrieve too fast.

  7. Great great night fishing for largemouth on top water. Walkin' tha dog with a black Zara Spook on calm waters in Airport Bay. Just about ever 2nd to third ...more cast I had a fish lunging at my lure. Many times the missed it altogether and sometimes they would take 2 or 3 lunges at it on the same retrieve like this girl did (18", 3.5lbs). Had a blast tonight, ended up netting 14LMBs tonight between 8pm and dusk.

3 lb. 9 oz. 18 in. Largemouth Bass

    1. Nice bass
  8. Water temp 52 degrees after a couple days of rain. Caught 6 LMBs ranging from 14-18" under overcast skies on a chilly day. Bite was at is best from 1-3pm. ...more Used this same bait last year in this spot and it didn't disappoint this year.

  9. Wanted to try a spot I was looking at on the map this winter once the water warmed up. Got to the spot and there was a boat already there... and we was catching ...more fish too. Watched him catch multiple white bass, a couple smallies and even a steelhead! Get off my spot I scouted man!!! Finally, skies darkened and lightning started getting near. He boogeyed and I slipped in; just enough for three casts to catch this nice 19-1/2" smallie before I had to get the hell outta there myself!

4 lb. 12 oz. 19 in. Smallmouth Bass with a ZMan Razr Shad Swimbaits
