    Details: Largemouth Bass with a Chartruese Strike King KVD Squarebill Crankbait

    I had been working the Crankbait on a series of grass lines for about 30 minutes and didn't have any luck. On about my 100th cast the Crankbait became tangled ...more in my line when it hit the water, turning my Crankbait into a spook-like top water. 3 and a half pounder flew out of the grass and inhaled it. (As you probably guessed, I threw top water the rest of the day.)

      And we might be able to pull some crappie off the river bottom that runs through the lake, but it would be a pretty good paddle. I'll keep it in mind @TexasFisher07

      I don't know any. I was thinking hitting one of the surrounding lakes for some largemouth. I need someone brave enough to go to choke canyon with me and not ...more be worried about alligators. @TexasFisher07

      I've fished there twice and what I've gathered is that it's good to throw buzzbaits or other top waters in the morning up shallow, then slow down some ...more or run a chatterbait/spinnerbait around timber

    Was maybe 3/4 of a pound but it still tightened my line on a beautiful day for fishing.
