I usually fish parks and piers but 61st is a good starter pier. I'm not saying it's the best but it's caught me alot of fish. @zksutton
    6. zksutton 0
      What's the best pier also
    7. zksutton 0
I've caught a lot of little black drum and whiting from the beach with shrimp, but do you always go to piers when you fish
    8. zksutton 0
      Ok great thanks so much
    9. Texas_Slam 0
big chunks of whiting mullet and shad work well. stop by Bayou bait for some fresh bait @zksutton
    10. zksutton 0
I'm in Galveston now. Do you have any recommendations?

weight in the air. on the pier I cast behind the back rail so I get more leverage. @ThatOneFisher
    3. ThatOneFisher 0
Thanks, do you set the weight on the ground or cast with the weight in the air?
    4. Texas_Slam 0
whip it as hard as I can really. my dad taught me a technique for pier and flat land. it's a big difference casting from pier. Just practice casting at a football ...more field or on the pier. @ThatOneFisher
    5. ThatOneFisher 0
Nice drum man! I have a question, what method do you use to cast. The pendulum or what?
    6. Texas_Slam 0
      sure thing @ReadyForThatBattle
    7. ReadyForThatBattle 0
Hey Trey! A question for u. I know u use 9/0 Gamataksu circle. But u know what's the model number or a picture of the package? They just have so many models ...more of circles. Thx
    8. Texas_Slam 0
My buddy got into them yesterday and called me up while I was at the pier. They hooked 10 at the time and landed only 2 I told him to save me one if they got another. ...more @j_reyes

  9. This one is a first for me. We run out of crab and all we have left were the crab claws. I hook one through the elbow and out the joint just how a buddy of mine ...more showed me one day. I was doubtful about it but sure enough I end up catching this big ugly.

  10. Got into a little drum run. They were hitting on the left hand side of the pier and started to hit on our side. 3 rods went off and one of them happened to be mine. ...more I set hook and fish on. Out of the 3 I was the only one to hook one the 2 other fish shook the hook and the other couldn't stick the fish on time.

What kind of reel do you use? Because I went it's like the water was rough and taking my line everywhere.
