Biggest king of my trip 6 days ago aboard the LUCKY 7 with the finest captain I've had the pleasure of fishing with consistently putting us on the fish!

Took my friends @YakinTexasBrandon and @Texas_Angler out on a trip today and after hooking that black drum a few minutes later I reeled in this big bull!

Great morning on the water with @YakinTexasBrandon in the bay with more seaweed than normal and very turbulent water conditions but it made for lots of fish and ...more species caught!

The penn is fairly expensive. I got mine for $150 but i got one of the middle ones. They go anywhere from $75-$250. @Cowboy713 fishes saltwater more than i do

Look into getting a Penn, they have great reels but they are pretty expensive and i agree with @MulletHead that ugly stik makes very sturdy rods at low prices

Great day with mostly clear skies and a nice breeze without ever having to deviate from the bait combo fishing the bottom and caught many whiting, gafftop, and bonnethead ...more fishing with @YakinTexasBrandon on the kayaks!

Was out there last weekend and saw people with some luck wading on flounder but the seaweed was bad I'm not sure if it's cleared up yet
