This one was caught on rip rap at a rail road bridge deep in a cove. Open points, shorelines and timber in coves provided no success.

I spent the weekend at bob sandlin fishing in the rain the whole time. According to the rain gauge we got about 15" since Friday. We found some success fishing ...more around 6' deep near weed lines, Lille pads, and boat docks. We were in coves, but weren't far from the main points. Also caught a couple small ones on red lipless cranks.

Caught her on a spinning reel with 8 lb line! She was peeling drag like it was nothing! I think it went 7lbs or more easy. Also caught a nice 5 pounder too.

Decent day on squaw creek. 10 total, all caught opposite of the plant where the water was about 70-72 degrees. Closer to the plant it seemed the water was a bit ...more too warm. Main points and adjacent shoreline produced well. Had a little luck on hardbaits, but soft plastics definitely dominated.

Spent all day on fork hoping to find some fish staging near spawning grounds. That was the plan anyway, but a front came thru and it was cold, windy, and rainy all ...more day. Very slow, but I managed to rally in the afternoon and land this one. Water temp is still low 50's on fork, despite the warm weather we've had lately.
