    water levels were high, and a lot of clouds but was still able to pick up 6 fish in 3 hours. only saw one pod, mostly signals laid up against shore.

    Personal best Rainbow! Water is moving fast, throwing behind a large log jam in slowest water I could find. Was using a new 5 weight Scott radian; I have to say ...more I definitely prefer the older scott rods. Rio gold line with a 5x leader and a recently aquired Charlton 8450c which so far lives up to the hype.

    Redfish in the sand flats on the back side of Padre. 8wt Hardy rod; Hatch 7+ reel. fish seemed to move in the sand flats in the afternoon when the wind picked up. ...more Red was scarred on back and fin. Didn't take the bait at first, slowed down my strip, turned around and hit hard. Thank you Simms for saving my face today.

    Threw out a cast on the way to a hunt, got my line stuck, got the boat out to get unhooked, did a drift across the pond and landed this toad on my last cast! Good ...more way to start a hunt!

Must be having an identity crisis, felt the need to change from PhishTX to Non_Typical. I grew up hunting with my dad and brother, love to get ...more outside and am very interested in habitat conservation.
