1. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Daiwa Tatula Type R 8.1:1 | Duckett Ghost 7' MH | Handmade balsa squarebill crankbait | 12 lb Berkeley Big Game mono

At a local lake I hadn't been to in a long time. We didn't have long to fish, but long enough for me to stick this little guy. He came from near a patch ...more of grass in a shallow part of the lake. I had my rod tip high top keep the bait off of the bottom, that's how shallow it was in this section. The bass are feeding up during the fall before winter. I didn't expect them to want a moving bait like.

  2. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Zoom Baby Brush Hog with green and purple flake | 3/0 hook | 1/4 oz bullet sinker | Daiwa Tatula Type R | Duckett Ghost 7' MH | 12 lb ...more Berkeley Big Game mono

As the day moved on the bass stopped biting the weightless bait, so I put a sinker on. I started catching more bad, including this 4 lb, 13 oz nice one!

The bass wanted the brush hog fished slowly and weightless earlier in the morning. I was messing with my phone and went back to continue working the bait when I ...more felt the weight of this 6 lb bass on the line! Nice fight. Great way to spend a Monday.

Three of the ten bluegill I caught today. I was just using a ball of bread under a bobber. I would basically only have to cast into the exact same place and I'd ...more get bit.

Nice! The one on the top has some great color!

For those techniques, I would definitely go with the 7'4" or a 7'3". @Kieran_Hanley
