    Caught 17 bass on fly today and all on the same gurgler. It was calm out for the most part and the bite picked up in the last 30 minutes before dark. The bass started ...more busting shad.       From what I hear, all the spots in Katy are usually stacked. Wish it wasn't so far away from me or id be fishing more often for sure

      Yeah I've been fortunate enough to have more than a couple days like that fly fishing for bass but it's mostly just cause the spots that I fished on those ...more days are usually stacked

    13lber!!! Just kidding long arming helped this fish look bigger it was only 5.4. I Was throwing my swimbait 10 feet off the bank and I had casted it and reeled it ...more in some and then let fall and this fish crushed it on the fall! Cred to @thefishwhisperer for lipping it for me.

      Yeah most likely a snapping turtle. That is pretty similar to how the bite mark on my hand looked

    Here is a before and after picture of 1 of the two flies I used yesterday the bottom picture was taken 20 bass later when the fly broke apart and I had to change ...more and put on a clouser minnow. I need to get some more materials but I'm for sure gonna tie some more of these flies cause I've always had luck on them. Even if I don't tie the prettiest my flies usually work

    1 of my 34 fish and 1 of the 85 fish caught today fishing with @thefishwhisperer I was fly fishing the whole time just casting at beds and just walking and throwing ...more 8ft off the bank while walking to catch most of mine of mine and sight fished a couple including the one im this picture and this one was my biggest of the day plus it's a new personal best for bass on day on any rod and reel combo!!!
