1. Details: Largemouth Bass

Merry Christmas Scouters! Hope everyone has a great holiday season!

  2. Details: Largemouth Bass with a 1/2 oz Strike King Red Eye Shad in Sexy Blueback Herring, 7' MH Action E21 CarrotStix rod, Shimano Curado DHSV 7:1 ratio reel

Ticking the top of the grass can draw reaction strikes from active bass. Lipless cranks are a great way to cover lots of water quickly. This time of year is great ...more for throwing shad and bluegill colored lipless cranks because both are in the middle of their spawn. Expect hungry bass to be looking for them.

  3. Details: Blue Tilapia with a Overcast and cloudy, fishing the evening bite. 7'6" Falcon Lowrider XG rod, Curado 200E5, 12lb P-Line Fluoroclear, Xcalibur XCS100 in ...more Tennessee Special.

Here's a throwback from a couple months ago. I was fishing docks and pads with a squarebill crank when I felt a thump and my drag started peeling off the reel. ...more I just knew I had a DD... Until I finally got this giant *** tilapia to the boat. I snagged this sucker in the tail and the fight was on! I was heartbroken that I didn't have a new PB but the awesome fight made it all worth it!

  4. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Bright sunny day, light wind, and clear water. 3/8 oz Z-Man Chatterbait Elite, Gizzard Shad color. 6'10" Falcon Cara T7 rod, Abu ...more Garcia Revo STX reel, spooled with 15lb P-Line CXX Mono.

Here's another fish we picked up from brush pile in previous blert. We noticed shad skittering across the surface so I switched to a gizzard shad colored chatterbait ...more and she slammed it. I assume the bass were ambushing shad when they swam in and out of the creek. I'm a firm believer in matching the available forage. The perch are spawning now too so keep that in mind when choosing colors to throw.

If you dont appreciate the info, then move along. Its not a biggest fish contest. This app is for fishing reports and tips. Nobody can learn much from a blert that ...more just says "fluke" or "craw" @colesmith

Came across a creek with a nice submerged brush pile in the mouth, fish suspended in the heart of the brush. I flipped jigs, I tossed TX rigged worms and couldn't ...more buy a bite. We noticed shad fleeing across the surface so I switched to a gizzard shad colored chatterbait and this guy slammed it within a few casts. Just shows that matching the available forage is key.

  6. Jig fishing may not always catch numbers of fish, but they certainly catch better quality fish. I've been most productive fishing near lilly pads and cypress ...more roots lately. Lightly flip your jig into holes in the pads, or in the thick areas of cypress roots and hold on. A high speed reel is helpful to keep the fish from getting wrapped in cover.

Largemouth Bass with a Overcast, Water temp 78 F, tainted water. Flipping a 3/8 oz Brown and Orange Booyah Boo Jig w/ Bama Craw Strike King Rage Chunk, 7'3" H- ...

Lipless cranks are a great way to cover lots of water quickly. Ticking the top of the thick grass with an occasional jerk of the rod tip drew reaction strikes from ...more active bass this trip. With the recent rains, the water level in this pond has gone up and the bass are hungry!

      Alright thanks @JWelch
    2. JWelch 0
Was lousy too. Check the reviews at TackleWarehouse and it'll tell you all you need to know. Honestly, you're much better off with a Powell Diesel rod. On ...more sale for $59.88 and a damn good rod @Adriang523

It's really hit and miss. I love mine but I think I lucked out. They're super light weight and sensitive, however a lot of people were snapping them on hooksets. ...more Apparently their customer service...

  8. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Overcast conditions, low light, and clear water. Chartreuse 3/8 oz Strike King Tri-Wing Buzzbait tipped w/ Plum Powerbait grub. 6'10" ...more Abu Garcia Vendetta rod, Abu Garcia Revo SX reel, spooled with 12lb P-Line CXX Mono.

Quick trip to the pond about an hour before sunset. I started fishing over thick grass with a standard bladed buzzbait and had lots of short strikes with no hookups. ...more Switched over to a Tri-bladed buzzbait to allow me to fish more slowly, put on a trailer hook, then tipped it with a grub for extra scent and action. Sure enough, I started hooking up. Switch it up until you find what works.

Flipping a 3/8 oz Brown and Orange Booyah Boo Jig w/ Bama Craw Strike ...more King Rage Chunk, 7'3" H- Action Falcon Cara T7 rod, Shimano Curado E7 reel spooled w/ 14lb test P-Line Fluoroclear

Fishing after a front makes for a tough day. This was my only keeper fish of the day, but she hammered it. Flipped into the middle of some cypress roots multiple ...more times before she hit it. If a spot looks fishy, don't give up after a cast or two. Fish slow and deliberate in tough conditions and you will be rewarded.

Yeah I don't know what it is about jig hits that are so much more exciting but I love em. Since I learned to use some of them I always have them with me. Still ...more learning different head uses though.
    2. Chris Skinner 0
Yea we do, maybe next week or so? We caught a few sunnies, nothin spectacular, but enough to bring my fish count to 100 for the year lol
    3. JWelch 0
Can't beat a jig fish, I've always got a flipping jig tied on. They're always better quality bites and this was no exception. She was fat and healthy! ...more @GizmosBait
