thx for the info @osiis @fishinman932
    3. I had the same reel loved it got to a point where when i casted it would go and then just dead stop other than that great reel!

Cast it side arm and lob it like a grenade. It won't go amazingly far but it will let you get use to thumb tension without huge bird nests.

I rock the same braid on my baitcaster and it works GREAT! Cast distance is phenomenal and u cant beat the strength. Braided is the way 2 go. Watch sum videos on ...more how 2 remove birdsnest, ull b fine!

thx for the advice @alfonsochv @LivewellHero

Abu! Alright! Definitely stick with it, you'll be glad you did. Start off with the brake dial and spool tension relatively tight. Move on down as you get better. ...more Also, keep that thumb at the ready!

There are ups and downs with either lines. All my abu gracias have braided line so your rod should be fine. Always remember to keep your thumb handy and fish on. ...more Abu Garcia for life!

Braid was a bad chose because it is so thin and it will got cought underneath other strands.

Don't get frustrated when learning. It will take awhile I still get birds nests and I've been swinging those things for a year now
