    Caught near weed beds just north of Shelter 2 fishing pier at Lake Farm Park (Lake Waubesa). Slowly jerkin’ a Whopper Plopper. Topwater mid-day…dumb luck I guess.

      No pictures, but a friend of mine and myself caught over 20 northern pike on Friday with the largest at 38 inches plus two walleyes with the larger at 24 inches. ...more All were caught trolling on Lake Mendota.

    Several decent large mouth bass and 3 northern pike today on a Ned rig. Wading near McDaniel Park at Lake Waubesa. Small swim bait working too.

      I don’t know Sammy. was told today that bluegill are spawning now (and I know bass spawn before bluegills) so I’m guessing I caught this bass pre-spawn.

    Got this just as I was about to call it a day. Casting topwater lures in and near weed beds along shoreline. Snapped a photo, successfully released the fish back ...more to the water, cast a couple more times and headed home with a smile on. Didn’t have a scale or measuring tape…next time.
