    - Lake Arthur

    Put the yak on Lake Arthur yesterday. It was an okay/variety day. Caught 5 species in total (not including some stick-fish and Redondo (inside joke with my son...lol)). ...more 14 fish were landed when it was all said and done. This was the best LM. Felt good to be back on PA waters, even if it was just for a brief time.

    I got the yak out here again in VA. Well worth it this particular day! When i showed up, there were "30" boats waiting to launch. Turns out there was ...more a bass tournament that morning. I'm thinking, forget this! Anyways, i decide to try my luck regardless. About 5 hours in, i find a spot where nobody else ventured out to. Bam! I land my PB. Oh, how ironic ...lol. Later that afternoon i land something completely CRAZY ...i'll just leave you all with that teaser for now (future pic coming!)

    Well, i finally got my "yak" out on these Virginia waters. They let you fish the reservoirs down here. Anyway, a good first outing. This was the biggest, ...more on a red & yellow crankbait. A nice variety day too; 2 LM's, 2 perch, 2 crappy and 3 blue'ys. Looking forward to more exploring down here.

    Was just an "eh" type day at Arthur (got 2). But felt good to be "Back in the Yak" (lol ...could be an AC/DC song) and home in PA!

    I'm working down at a nuclear power plant (engineering) here in Virginia. Thought i'd do alittle local shore fishing. ...Not the biggest, but I'm just ...more glad to get on the board for 2022 already (lol). Napped 2 more plus a decent size Perch. Can't wait to get back on the Allegheny River and Lake Arthur soon.

    - Monongahela River

    I tried the 2nd of Pittsburgh's Rivers the other day (the Monongahela). It was a decent outing, though windy for kayak fishing. Caught 11 total, including ...more a white bass. Here's the best of 'em.

    - Allegheny River - Pittsburgh

    I tried a different section of the Allegheny River this time. It was a smallmouth bonanza fest ...15 total. Here was the biggest. Fun time on the river for sure. ...more My shoulders still hurt from all the yak paddling ...lol.

    Many fish caught on the Allegheny (18 total). Mostly small mouths (a lot of dinks). Got another gizard shad too. This Cat was my best size-wise. Prettt good ...more fight!

It's only my 2nd season of serious fishing ...but oh the fun. I mainly target largemouth bass on Lake Arthur, but really any good "fighting ...more fish" will put a smile on my face. I recently landed a 9lb Striper and gotta say that was the best fight of my short fishing career. Thanks for checking in here! Good luck to all anglers.
