1. Little larger than 1 lbs- my second smallmouth. Released the fish right as Game Warden pulled up thinking maybe my license was expired, but took happy pic of them ...more pulling away - license was still good...still no pic of a smallmouth.

  3. I have skunked out so many times this year it's not even funny...if I wasn't a noob I'd be embarrassed but it is hard to fish with 2 loud kiddos banging ...more LEGOS and stuff on the bottom of the boat. Anyway, I figured I'd post this fundraiser I am doing in case any folks out there have a heart for veterans or suicide prevention. I am running 100 miles in January to raise awareness and funds to help American veterans who are suffering from homelessness, substance abuse, depression, PTSD, etc., for the non-profit called Stop Soldier Suicide. If anyone is interested in donating through my (possibly heart-attack-inducing 100 mile run...seriously, what am I thinking?), you can check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/donate/303815341657470/303815351657469/. Oh, and if any of you serious fishermen are interested in helping out an American veteran WHILE fishing, there's actually charities where people just take a vet, senior, or folk with special needs, fishing---here's 10 of them: https://shopkarls.com/blog/fishing-veterans-day/. With God, all things are possible. God bless our veterans.

    1. Bahaha I'll have solace that somebody is remembering! lolol GREAT MANY THANKS for your awesome donation WooHoo!!!

  8. First Non-Largemouth! What is it? White Perch? White Bass? Also the first catch on my Pflueger President (that only took 2 months ) and umbrella rig. Although ...more I hooked one just before this and he bumped the boat and jumped off I am better at losing fish than catching them 丹儭

Yeah! Just leafed through the free DGIF fishing booklet and it lists Kerr as top waterways for white bass. But after reading their descriptions of the 2 fish, I'm ...more definitely leaning back to perch too. Either way, apparently white perch is really a bass and is familiar to white and striped bass, so I think it's okay either way! Lol
    7. Tod Fisher 0
it looks like there ARE white bass in Kerr according to vadgif. so I was wrong bout that
    8. Tod Fisher 0
well im no expert but still looks like a perch to me. all the white bass I've ever caught were a little thicker through the body, a littler more silver to yellowish ...more and faint stripes.
    9. Brooklyn Pytlik 0
Hey Tod, I changed the photo to show another angle of the fish. Mind seeing if it still looks like a perch to you?
    10. Brooklyn Pytlik 0
That's what I thought but then the husband looked up a bunch of stuff online about comparisons between the 2, so then I figured it was a bass. I'll switch ...more the label back to perch Glad someone finally helped ID it though!!
    11. Tod Fisher 0
thats a nice size one good eatin too
    12. Tod Fisher 0
Thats a perch Brooklyn. as far as I know there aren't any white bass in Kerr

  9. There were so many large bass jumping around my boat I almost had a heart attack it was beating so painfully! Nabbed this one and then lost the next one right as ...more I got him next to the boat. God is good 儭 Had a lot of bites from smaller fish but the 360 Search Bait was too big for any of them. I am satisfied with at least one from this vacation.
