1. May 1st 2022 now this is the way to starting a great day. Top water walking a Jr. Spook. Yellow and black. Didn't have a scale or tape measure so I put a couple ...more of plano's down this is a monster. Released unharmed.. almost missed my spook hooked it on outside of mouth so it took me awhile to land..

  2. This is where I spend alot of mornings at. Most of my pictures are from The Cove it's around an 80 minute drive. Being a cali native and growing up in San Gabriel ...more which is 28 miles from downtown Los Angeles. An hour drive is nothing. It's all highway and no traffic. If you look at the picture close on the side heading into skinny stretch there is a small pontoon boat. Thats me. Now look around not any other boat on the water. Man gotta love the openness of Nebraska. Have a good one and if any of you anglers are ever in the omaha area. Drop me a line and I'll take you out. Been fishing this lake since 1996 I'll put you on the fish. The rest is up to you.. later and remember play nice with others!!!

  3. Out of Dana point harbor. About 25 miles out we came across school of Dorado or Mahi-mahi ended up with 4. Lot of fun great fighters and they jump a lot.

  4. Another cat on a jig. Almost same place as two weeks ago. What's up... full moon nuts ness. Just got away for a quickie so I don't have scale.. didnt even ...more have a net. Just went with it. Large jig the wind was up. 14 to 17mph. Working outside edges of docks. These lakes are sand pits. So docks are the only real structure. But this is weird. I've been fishing here for ten plus years.. never hooked a cat on a jig.. now two big boys in two weeks and the same dock just a little differences in location. Love it play nice with others when its possible..

  5. who can tell me what kind of fish this is.. this is where I grew up. recently became an bass angler. we are around 100 miles out on the search for albacore. came ...more across a small kelp bed that broke loose from somewhere south. anyway kelp out this far is protection from the sun. sometimes its holding sometime not. this is where the captain gets mad. cause I underhand cast from the bow as hes setting his drift. so before anyone even has a squid or Chovy... on a hook my real is singing that incredible sound. he wasn't mad for what I did. cause it was perfectly fine under and from the 30 some off the water. what he was mad about is the night before I told everyone I was from Nebraska which wasn't a lie. I just failed to mention that I grew up there and had deckhanded on several commercial rigs in my younger days.. so here's the caption pissed cause at this time I already had 11 albacore two yellowfin tuna and now who knows what kind of fish... ok a hint it has the color yellow in the name this is not a tuna.its a member of the jack family

    1. Capt jack. Has it going on. Dam I need to go to Florida. Never been, some day.!! Nice bass they don't get that big here. There feeding season is short and they ...more have 4 to 6 months of lethargic stage. I believe state records is 9.8 or right around there. Biggest I've landed is 8.4lbs. Are you still an active captain?? Reason if I come down I would like to go after tarpon see if I can get spooled.. when I lived in Hawaii the kalia were just incredible. We used sea weed spears and wove the line up the spear. Put the hook in the grapes on a ten ft. leader from bobber. Sounds easy right. Now you have to get in the surge of sets coming in and crushing the the refs. Fricking can't believe how crazy I was in my younger days. 10ft. Plus waves coming in on the rocks and I'm sliding in between waves and casting into the surge.. man it was so much fun. Then if you hooked up. You have a 20 plus trout.. they just run,, no diving and hiding in the rocks.. just straight out power and they will burn the barring up.. they go 100yds. in 8 or 9 second's there so strong then you have to deal with the waves and reefs levels to actually land one.. Thank you Capt I haven't thought about though days for a long time.. yes Pacific yellowtail.. another reel buster... I have been blessed with fishing.. I've seen and dropped my line in boils of tuna and albacore that will never be seen or experienced by the next generations. Just incredible crazy mornings. Once in 100 foot swells over a hundred miles out. The fishing was just going off so you didnt have time to worry about being in a bowl for more than 2 minutes. If you don't understand write me and I'll explain. Love you all.remeber play nice when its possible if.not Marcus of queens Barry.

  6. I love my job. Many times I get sent out to the boonies. Usually there is a body of water. In the area. Problem is get approval to fish it. I normally try and do ...more something. Any kind of chore. But here lately not the virus it has gotten harder and harder. Mostly because people have became sue happy.. everyone wants it all. But they don't want to earn it. Just give it to me. Same way with trades today. Lazy and messy, honestly are younger generation take everything personally and have no morals or ethics little lone any backbone.anyway I found this pond today and had a blast.. mostly because the farmer thought he was going to see me get skunked... he said good luck water level way down and the freeze three years back. I know but not everyone was in the flood zone.. I hooked 6 or 7 in 15 mins. All on scum frog. Nothing bigger than 2 1/2 maybe 3lbs. But it was fun saying goodbye and thanks. No I didn't go without giving Jeb. My frog.. honestly it now had a hole and was taking on water. But Jeb happily excepted and said next time your in the area.. and as hard as it was. I didn't even try to sale him a new roof. Next time I'm in the Blair area hopefully two three years from now the bass will be exceptionally fun.. love you all. Remember play nice with others when its possible.!!!!

Hardiest to land tiger shark or sting ray. Hooking up out on the jetties. Got a seven foot tiger in by using the waves after getting off the rocks.
  • Waterway Any that I'm near. Mostly lately Ginger Cove valley NE or the pacific ocean. Grew up in San Gabriel CA but my dad had a boat down by the Queen Mary. Shoreline dr. Catalina was a weekend spot.. 28 miles from our slip.. i have fished most of the coast from point Loma up to Bodega Bay the Russian River empties into Bodega. Landed smallysin summer and steelhead and Salomon during winter. And all the way up to Grant's pass fishing the .ighty Rogue river.
  • Lure Plastic, stick bait, any top water. Pacific ocean, live or fresh caught bait. Example go into the water at low tide and dig up razer claim or regular claim, in open water rip fresh muscle off pilowns or post. At night shine lights off the boat to get live squid.. nothing beats environmental bait.ht
