1. My Daughter's boyfriend took me out on his boat Friday afternoon. While fishing for LMB and Crappie, I caught this Northern Pike. He CHOKED it! Took a couple ...more minutes to resuscitate, but thankfully swam back to which it came from. Thank you Aaron for an enjoyable afternoon!

  2. 30 minutes at the lake before work. 1st time fishing a ribbon tail worm Texas rigged with an 1/8 oz weight on braid with a 3' mono leader. Given more time, I ...more feel this will be an excellent bait. #dinksmatter

    2. Rob C 0
Thanks Jeff. Took the kayak there first time this morning.Ned rig and Senkos. Skunked!
    3. Jeff Beers 0
Overall, no. Deepest part is by the dam which is in the 15 - 20' range.
    4. Rob C 0
Does this lake get very deep?
    5. Mike A. 0
      fishing is good!
    6. Jeff Beers 0
Thanks guys! Nothing huge but man, the feeling of getting out there, trying something new and hooking up, BEFORE WORK, lasted the rest of the day. With so much emphasis ...more on mental health recently I have realized fishing is the BEST THING for me! Rob - you should've seen it when the tops were still on submerged trees. It was an entertaining, watery maze...lol
    7. Mark Merlin 0
That's a good looking setup bud.
    8. Rick S 0
Nice one Jeff, good way to start your day!
    9. Rob C 0
Nice Jeff! I went to Glade Run for the first time the other day. I guess it reopened just a few years ago; it’s an interesting body of water.

Thanks Jeff; good info. I still have much to learn kayak bass fishing.
    3. Jeff Beers 0
Rob, I was throwing it Texas rigged weightless. Saw some stumps sticking out of the water and thought a nice slow presentation would do the trick. Lost 2 nice ones ...more there but got the hook set done properly on this one!
    4. Rob C 0
      Nice! Wacky rigged?

  6. 1st outing in the kayak and 1st LMB (15/16) in the books for 2021. Lessons learned today. 1. Maintain a safe distance from geese, they can be aggressive. 2. Don't ...more give up fishing, even when they're not biting on your favorite lure. 3. If it's calling for 10% chance of rain, bring rain gear, IT WILL RAIN! Big THANK YOU to Mark for spending the morning on the water with me and Rick for sharing an extra raincoat. I owe you one! Hope everyone has a GREAT week!

Bullfrog with a Yum Houdini Shad Pearl

    1. Bruce Parker 0
Wow! I never caught a frog except once with a night crawler and i was playing with him with the worm to see if he would take it. Glad you got that LMB. Nice report.
    2. Jim Holland 0
Yeah, that's what I did, too, when I went. I was so shocked at how many were out in kayaks, fishing, I almost left before I unloaded a single piece of gear. ...more Seemed everyone was hutting the submerged trees. I focused on the weeds and shadowy banks.
    3. Jeff Beers 0
Jim, you ain't kidding! πŸ˜‚ There were so many people fishing down by the dam so I decided to explore a bit.
    4. Jim Holland 0
🀣 Before I read where you were, I thought "Glade Run Lake". The shallows are infested with them.
    5. Rick S 0
      Pretty unique catch Jeff!
    6. Mark Merlin 0
Your status as a legend continues to grow and grow.
