Season opener with father in law and friends. Pretty much only time of year we keep trout- that’s both what we kept for weekend. Great fishing- caught 20 trout between ...more 2 of us and who knows how many suckers. Very fun time Good luck all-
Almost 14” up by Merrill. My best fish of the opener
Carson Park in EC. Finally got out and caught something decent. Been too long. Fun fish- released
For the last week I’ve been staying at the Horseshoe Resort at Leech Lake MN with 2 buddies- Brian and Jamie. Couldn’t do Canada ( hopefully next year), so we set ...more up this. Mother Nature was not kind: either 600 degrees and no wind or 20 mph and whitecaps pretty much the whole time. Add 2-3 nights of bug hatches- made fishing really slow. But we fished our asses off and got some really nice fish. I ended up with 6-7 walleye over 20” ( 3 that were 25-26), couple of nice smallies, lost my PB smallie at the boat, a bunch of rock bass, a tiny perch and a slimy dogfish. Brian brought in a slab 19” smallie. Jamie caught a lot of walleye and lost 2 - let’s say very nice fish😉. Overall it was an awesome trip.- I think if you hit Leech ona normal time it could be outstanding. Here are some pics- cheers!!
Fishing with Father in law for his birthday on Chippewa River. Final tally- me 7 bass- biggest 16 & 17”. Him - 1 sucker. Life is good
