FISH FROM SUN DOWN UNTIL SUN UP OR WHEN I GET MY 25 CRAPPIES.... I DO NOT FISH FOR THE STRIPED BASS THEY JUST COME ALONG FOR THE RIDE,,,, WHEN I GET MY MINNOWS I SHORT THEM BY SIZE AND ONLY USE THE BIG ONES UNTIL I RUN OUT OF THEM THEN THE SMALL ONES,,, I GET ONE POUND ON MINNOWS EVERY TIME I GO OUT,,,,, L BRING THE SMALL ONES HOME AND KEEP THEM UNTIL THEY GET BIG ,,,,

Clay Russell 0That's a nice catch. Were you closer to the Howey-in-the-Hills side or closer to Taveres? What time of day or night? My average hybrid catches in Eustis are ...more about 17" in length. About how long were these? Have you had any luck with hybrids on the south shore of Lake Harris? About 5 years ago, I was catching 18" fish with the largest at 21". Now, I can't seem to find any over 15" there.

Ha Dan you missed out last night... I got my 25 crappies 12" to 14" plus 5 striped bass.... and was home by 5:00 am... you relay need to give upon cats, ...more they are only in the river and they only get up to 24" or so.. we do not have any of the big cats like up north down here.. you are wasting a lot of money on shiners unless you start going for large mouth bass... i have used live small sunfish in the river and only get big gars like 60".. they are a lot of fun to fight... the river cats i get with night crawlers and chicken livers and hearts.. i still think we need to meet for a cup of coffee and get to know each other, then see if we want to fish to gather. you need to for give my spelling i know it is real bad.

Hi, We went Monday and didn't get anything. I did manage to take a fall on the dock and messed up my leg. I was planning on wednesday if my leg recovers. Mostly ...more fished the bottom for catfish using shinners, maybe that is the issue? Good luck if i don't make it tho.

are you planing on fishing Harris Wednesday night? it should be a good night i get there about 4:30 pm to get set up before dark.

I put in at the big boat ramps in the park on 19 just before the bridge. I fish on the east side at the south end of the bridge.

So I guess we are neighbors, I live on Capa Path. Our friends live over there. Maybe I will try to come down there Wednesday to check out the operation. Lol. I just ...more got a 20’ center console and still setting it up. You launch right at the bridge I guess? Let me know if plans change but I should see you Wednesday night

I will be going night fishing again Wednesday night on Harris. i put out 12 rods for the crappies. i have lights shining in the water.

I live in pine ridge on lena dr. i get the minnows from 44 bait and tackel on 41 going into inverness.. the cat fish in lake rousseau do not get much over 24",, ...more they are called bullheads, they are black with stripes on their sides... you will not find any real big ones.. this is not up north with the big cats.. they like to hang around the deep parts of the river.. fish 2 to 3 feet off the bottom.. i use a 3 way swivel 8 oz weight on 20 lb line 2 to 3 feet long, and the bait coming off the swivel 2 to 3 feet long on 30 lb line then 50 lb line to my rod.... i will have 4 or 6 rods out ... i also catch some bobber fishing for pan fish in and around the weeds. i have had my best luck for cats using night crawlers..
would you like to meet up and see if we would be a match to go fishing to gather? -

I went to Rousseau today, fished for catfish but got a couple bowfin and bass. Think i'm gonna try Harris tomorrow though
