1. smallies large mouths and pike are hammering schools of minnows in really shallow flats less than 3ft of water throw the Whopper plopper around the obvious schools ...more of bait and any jumping chasing active fish just get it close and be ready. had multiple species jumping completely out of water fighting each other to get your lure. ALL DAY ACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah it's pointless to go out from Friday afternoon through Sunday if you want to fish the boat traffic is crazy. I have a 16 and a half foot Crestliner Fishhawk ...more that I can't even get up on plane because the river is so rough with waves from the big boats. it's dangerous.

I was out there yesterday and lost a big smallie. Later the yachts came out - waves so big I felt like I was surfing in my 18 foot MirroCraft.

it's a lot of fun. grew up with a cabin on the lake. tons of bass.my PB is 93 landed in one day with 6 between 4-6 pounds. I have had weekends we didn't ...more leave our dock and landed over 35 bass. use weightless plastics and have a square bill and a chatterbaite tied on and a frog during algae blooms and start πŸ”¨ fish all summer long.
