Hey Reggie! The river is tough in the cold. Finding slow moving water (eddies) next to deep holes is essential. I have been getting these northern on an inlet ...more off the main river. They come in for refuge from the current and to spawn. i throw strike king lipless cranks. as it warms up inline spinners, and soft small plastics around any kind of cover! check out google earth to find those inlets and you should be in luck. hope that helps

  9. It turns out i have no control over my facial expressions when holding a large fish! Another freezing day but worth it, i only could fish half the inlet because ...more of ice. I dragged my lure off the ice and on the drop this one nailed it!
