I backlashed a little, my fiancé had algae all over her Senko and asked me to clean it so I did, looked at my line and told her I think I got ...more a fish, finished clearing my backlash, line tight, and as soon as I felt her, she chomped it twice and we both said "yeah there's a fish," and BANG! Hookset right through the top of the head. First bigger fish I've caught in front of her.

First time using a jerkbait, guessed on how to retrieve and was correct. Used my old Caenan I had picked up out of repair today and a All Star Dropshot rod I got ...more for Christmas. Won't use the rod for dropshot but it seems like a decent crank bait rod. This girl hit close to the bank probably because it was near rocks and warmer than anywhere else. 🎣🎣🎣

We had to head in and I threw a drop shot and said after this one more cast. Had 10 options to choose from and chose my trusty old Curado. Never Texas rigged and ...more caught a fish so this ended up being really cool. I couldn't have been happier after catching 2 dinks and a grinnell

Thought I had a monster bass on my line. Like a 7 pound bass. Then it never surfaced so I realized something was up. It dove straight down and wrapped around something ...more so I let it get out, brought it up, and the guy who took us out on the boat netted it. I was definitely excited and with 10 lb test on the reel was shocked I didn't snap the line.

I caught one on a tiny trap. I too thought I had the lake record. Those bowfin have a mouth full of teeth and bleed like crazy. The fight was amazing though.

I've caught a couple of them on Fork. Weird fish. It was odd they hit plastic worms both times.
