The reel seat on my ultra light rod broke and I didn't feel like buying another rod, so I improvised! Had some paracord laying around so I wrapped the grip and ...more it came out pretty well! I like it a lot! Could be better but it'll do for now!

I guess that's my next step because I super glued my reel to my rod and the first time I set the hook on a fish it fell off again

Killed it at Seawolf park on the 12th! caught a total of 25 flounder with only 3 being keepers. All caught bouncing tandem rigged gulp off the bottom with 1/0 Owner ...more twist lock hooks. Felt the thump counted to 13 and then set the hook! Video up soon!

Went out yesterday on a mission to catch a good fish and that's what I got! Hit the ferry landing cause other spots weren't producing anything. Casted out ...more near a corner and set the rod down. 10 mins last I see the rod bowed over a bit. Felt weight and set the hook. Didn't put up much of a fight but he had some weight to him. Measured in at 37 inches. First good fish of the year! More to come!

Had a heck of a time fishing Friday the 13th! Got a late start and went to Seawolf park and it paid off! Buddy caught a keeper within 5 mins of being there! Caught ...more a 2 man limit in about an hour and just kept fishing for fun. Also caught my PB Flounder measuring in at 22 inches! Heck of a fight!!! My buddy's fish were 18 and 18.5. Mine were 18 and 22. Bouncing the bottom and waiting for the hit.

Count about 10-15 seconds then set the hook. You can also Carolina rig the mullet and slowly work it back the same way. @bassgetter

Both will work fine. Take plenty of jig heads because you will get hung up. I was tandem rigging the gulp and casting out letting it hit bottom and bouncing it back. ...more You'll feel the thump

Was gonna target bull reds at Seawolf Park today but didn't catch any bait, but I did catch some flounder. All undersized except for the top left measuring in ...more at 18 in. Windy and raining. Bounced gulp swimming mullet on the bottom waited for the flounder thump counted a few seconds and set the hook. Caught the hook set and fight on video, will post it laster. Tight lines!
