Some of my biggest bass on Talquin have been caught vertical jigging deeper holes next to land points with heavy vegetation. I'm talking about metal jigs in ...more the 1/10 and 1/6 oz sizes. The Sonic BaitFish is hard to beat. I also have slow-trolled 1/4 and 1/3 oz Kandlefish (another metal jig produced by Wahoo Fishing Products in Punta Gorda, FL) and was shocked by the hybrid stripers it caught on the lake.
