Some reason unable to post to the lake or to my catches. This was caught on Lake Keowee. It weighed just over 5lbs.

  5. Fishing was tough this weekend for bigs.

3 lb. 2 oz. Largemouth Bass with a Deep Crankbait

    1. Dustin Walker 0
Yeah we caught a lot just 1.5 to 2lb fish. We actually caught them on top water all day. We just had hard time finding the 3s and up.
    2. Stacey Ford 0
The fish are still on the banks. I caught 17 fish yesterday. I started at 10 am I went maybe 1 hr with out no fish. The fish where hanging off of points, ledges ...more and I saw a lot of them around trees or bushes in 10 to 15 ft of water. I used a jerkbait and a crankbait all day most of the fish came from the jerkbait chartreuse color.

Agree it is tough when it's hot. I have to learn where they go, if I lose my morning bite on hot days it's tough the rest of the day.

I remember back in 1996 when the weather was hot and the bass were not cooperating at all. I knew that I must learn something new because in a Tournament there ...more will be3 days like that and you need to know what to do to get a response so I spent the next three years studying Bass behavior in hot afternoons. I had all the time in the world. Pops had the millions and I had the time.

  6. 4 lb. 10 oz. Largemouth Bass with a Shakey Head

My very first days when I was an amateur were the very best days of my Bass fishing because I was learning to get bigger bass, but it was the best days of my life ...more in Bass Fishing not when I turned Pro. When you turn Pro you stop learning because you reached the top. I retired and when I get a 12 lb. Bass it means nothing to me.
