1. Had one of the best days crappie fishing in years! Consistently on 11-13" crappies all day. Probably tossed around 20 fish back over 12". I'm sure ...more it will look like the stones are playing there once word gets out.. haha

  2. Of course I didn’t find em until almost dark. Didn’t do bad for only an hour, threw a few smaller ones back.

Ya best bite is usually dawn and dusk, unless you can catch some of those big basin fish cruising midday.
    2. I am lucky enough not to have to deal with ice any more, but the big ones don't bite down here until after dark
    3. those bigger crappie have a tendency to not bite til dusk through the ice on a lot of lakes

Kinda fun though making a night out of it, lake is quiet and usually not any people. I don't blame ya rob! She gets a bit toasty down there! Lol
    5. Chad, I only fish after dark on my lake because it's so clear the fish shy away. Besides it's cooler at night here...lol

I seldom get to fish em after dark, always got to pick the kids up right when the fishin gets good.. lol

  7. Not many whites around here. If it were a black I might guess 10 inches, the whites are built way different than blacks. Paper thin with a long tail
