Got skunked. We spent a lot of time learning older sonar. I have been bank fishing sometimes daily for the last 4 years, I see fishing Conroe is going to be a huge ...more learning curve. I think moving to better sonar will help us. Right now we just have down scan.
    3. Looks like a nice one Mark. Check us out at EastTexasAnglers.com

Kent. how did you make out fishing?
    2. Mark Oland 0
I would true the rip rap area around 1097 bridge, 7 coves marina. also keep track of the water temp, I usually try to fish in the warmest water I can find that ...more has bait fish. good luck

My dad and I are going to Conroe in the morning. Would you recommend any baits or areas we should try?
    4. Mark Oland 0
No just let it sink in about 4 ft of water and twitch it back

the north part of the lake is the better part for bass, but with the water level 2ft low it has too many stumps. most people, unless they really know the lake are ...more fishing south of the bridge. I like the seven coves area, has rip rap and docks to fish
    3. Kent Dryden 0
My dad and I tried the north west fork past the 1097 bridge last Saturday but only caught 2 on a Whopper Plopper. I notice no one was fishing in that area. Do you ...more know if that's a good area to fish this time of the year?
