Thanks guys. Both species are all over around here. We fish the Mississippi River a lot and that's typically where you can catch the bigger fish. It was a fun ...more day we caught 33 keepers and released at least twice as many. Love ripping the out of the brush
    3. i think blacks typically can grow bigger, but that white in his right hand is huge!
    4. Jimbo Harwood
Do whites grow BIGGER then the black crappie?? 🤔

We have both here in Illinois. I fish the Mississippi River a lot and catch a lot of nice crappies but those fish in the pictures r from Grenada, Ms we go down there ...more every year in late march. My fishing partner caught a 3 lbs 6 oz 17 1/2 " monster this year. The crappie there r the biggest I've ever seen
    3. i'm not sure how a few of your pics got by my feed without me seeing, but those are some huge crappie! I've actually never caught a white crappie...most ...more of our lakes (and all the good ones that i know) are pretty much 99% black crappie for whatever reason.
