Brian..... I won't pretend to know the whole river but I'm not afraid to put my 18' Glastron fiberglass fish and ski on it. I'd say my draft has ...more to be somewhere around that. Stay in the channel and it's mostly between 15 to 22' deep. There are some 6' spots I've hit but never had a problem. I will say that my dad was driving the other day, got to close to the bank, hit a stump and bent my prop. But that's only out of the channel. Other then that it should be plenty deep for you.
    2. Hey Adam had another question about the river down there near Roscoe I have a deep V with about a 24 inch draft is the water plenty deep for me to run in the river ...more down there? Think I'm gonna head down and try it Saturday
    3. They move up on the rocks to spawn right around same time as crappie and just run in big schools the rest of the season. Kinda like the spoonbil when you start ...more hitting them keep crossing around same area and try to follow the school
    4. Adam Munsterman 0
Awesome!!! And what about the season. Is it pretty much anytime or is now the best?
    5. Awesome man thank you!! That flicker shad trolls about 7-8 feet deep. In deeper water we hit them trolling the rattle traps. Also for the schools of whites and ...more wipers watch the birds when they are on the schooling shad and you can motor close and shutdown and throw into them and catch a few before they break up then watch for the birds to point them out again.
    6. Adam Munsterman 0
Drop in Roscoe and head up or drop in taberville and head down. Wish I could go this weekend man..... I would bet that with the warmer temperatures and rain those ...more females are heading up. When you hit one........ go back and forth over that same spot several times before moving on. They roll together like that. If you hit one, you are probably sure to hit more.
    7. Adam Munsterman 0
Gotcha.... I understand now. I will have to try trolling that bait. Any certain depth and how do you achieve those depths. Thanks for the tips at talley. Much appreciated. ...more Go down stream approx half mile from clear creek. Look for a duck blind on the north bank, anywhere from there on downstream another mile or so and in the holes 17' to 21' deep you will hit those spoonbill when the weather moves them up.
    8. Hope that helps buddy I'm going to have to try a little further up River from talley bend, that's where I went last weekend and we only hit one keeper. ...more Should I drop at 13 highway ramp or down in oceola?
    9. Clinton lake is right outside Lawrence ks. These were all caught in the outlet during really heavy discharge using a silver and blue rattletrap they school up right ...more at the front of where the water hits the ramp and feast on all the stunned shad that blow through. I have a lot of luck trolling 1.5 mph with Berekley flicker shad in every lake for white bass, wiper and walleye. I even hit a lot of large crappie with that method. Have hit the white bass pretty hard around that Talley bend boat ramp area on the south side of the bridge along the rocky west side there on Truman before but mostly just come down there during snagging season.
    10. Adam Munsterman 0
Brian.... you have any tips at catching these white bass and walleye. I'd like to learn how to get them. Was this on Truman Lake or actually Clinton Lake. Never ...more knew there was a Clinton Lake.
