As the lifeguards showed up along with more families on the beach it was time to pack up. As I was reeling in my line on my other set up I got a big hit on my Bunker ...more chunk still soaking in the surf. Ended up landing this nice Dusky(?) and scaring the crap out of everyone on the beach haha. Had a crowd of about 30 people around.

I also got a new 9' combo from the wife for our anniversary and christened it yesterday with this nice Sandbar. Took 3 awesome drag screaming runs on me before ...more I finally pulled it in. Caught on a hunk of Squid.

Just got back from our vacation in OC. Had a great time!! For our Anniversary the wife booked us on a head boat trip. We had a blast even though the bite was non ...more existent. She ended up catching the only fish while drifting alone the bulkhead at 3rd St...but at least it was a keeper. We also watched as our boy baited his own hook...not instruction or coaxing...just turned around to find him :)

Low 60's mostly cloudy tide almost all the way out. Nailed this monster Snakehead today! 11.11lbs!! Fished a Zoom paddle tail in white for 20 mins around sunken ...more timber and overhanging trees. No bites. Tied on the Rage Blade & 1st cast on the edge of same trees this monster inhaled it. Started cranking med/fast pace as soon as the lure hit the water. 73*F sunny with a light breeze. Hit the river this morning with my lil buddy. Fishing on an outgoing tide. Managed to catch 4 in about 45 mins. Heading back tomorrow ...more morning with the cooler!!

Took advantage of another beautiful morning with my buddy. Low 60's and sunny with a light breeze. Fishing slow around sunken timber. Ticked the Chatterbait ...more off a branch and let it sink. This guy picked it up and swam the other way with it and the fight was on. Landed my first Bass of the year and this time my buddy wanted to hold it for a pic. So happy winter is finally leaving us haha!

The season has finally started for me and my lil buddy. Bite was tough and although I didn't land any my lil dude got his first of the year. I was casting it ...more out for him and he was reeling it in all by himself...and doing great. He hooked into this guy and fought him to the bank before I helped him land it. He was so stoked!

Spent the weekend in the Poconos with family. We had a great time and I even got a chance to sneak down to the creek and do a little fly fishing. Tried an egg fly, ...more and a nymph with no luck. Tied on a streamer and had a nice Trout follow it a couple times. Ultimately no luck but great experience. Heading home today...on my birthday lol!
