  3. The first and biggest of the 3 I landed, I had one throw the hook at the bank bc I gave her slack when I went to tighten the drag. I know NOOB move.

2 lb. 4 oz. 15 in. Largemouth Bass with a BioSpawn Exostick Bama Bug on a Shaky Head

  4. I pulled up to my friends house and good thing he wasn't home bc I got stuff and walked straight to the pond and I had a size 4 hook on my 6.5' rod so I ...more decided to try the 7' with the ⅜oz white with black stripes H&H Cajun Spin and on the 3rd cast she 🔨 it. I didn't even catch anything else after that one, it was rough but I'm glad that I decided to go fishing but these cold fronts with lots of rain has been messing with the bass. I need to go again this weekend since it's prespawn and it's the time to catch the fatties

4 lb. 14 oz. 22 in. Largemouth Bass with a H&H Cajun Spin White with black stripes ⅜oz

      4lb bass with a 8lb head
  5. Details: Sunset Point

Fishing Pier. One is only a few feet off the bank and the other pier is further out. Can catch bass, catfish, reds, and even speckled trout. It can get packed during ...more wonderful weather and good fishing days.

  6. Caught one right as it hit the water, other one was on the rise. Missed one right at the bank. Love the prespawn

2 lb. 1 oz. 19 in. Largemouth Bass with a Watermelon Zoom Mag-II Texas rigged

  7. After using cranks and topwater I decided to go to the H&H Cajun Spin with a white grub with black stripes and on the 3rd cast he inhaled it. That's the ...more biggest one I've caught out of that pond

2 lb. 7 oz. 26 in. Largemouth Bass with a H&H Cajun Spin White w/black stripes

  8. After using my normal baits I decided to use the XR8, 1st time even using it

    1 lb. 15 oz. 22 in. Largemouth Bass with a Rapala XR8

  9. Cast parallel to the shore n after 2 or 3 casts he hit it but hooks were in bottom on chin.

11 oz. 14 in. Largemouth Bass with a Blaze popper

  10. For some reason I have a hard time to get the bass to bite in this pond, the deepest is 15', it's usually muddy due to the runoff from a field. For some ...more strange reason I've had luck with white baits instead of the blacks and blues, purples etc. Where would/should they be holding up at? The damn is on the left side, wish I could add more pics

    1. Wayne Barnes 0
I was thinking if it is muddy the bottom stuff might be digging in too much and a Senco would float above the muck.
    2. Geoffrey Rogers 0
Nope but I've tried lizards to no avail but I have caught several on a brush hog
    3. Wayne Barnes 0
      Have you tried Sencos?

I'm a 38 yr old Air Force vet with some mental illnesses and I use fishing as a form of therapy. I'm a bank angler, so sometimes I'm limited ...more on where I can get. I'm from a small town in Washington Parish, Louisiana. Which we have a good number of waterways, especially farm ponds, but thanks to people in the past, most landowners deny access since others used to leave a mess or would bring a big crowd and then the owner gets upset and basically bans everyone from fishing. I love to go fishing any chance I get but most of it is in family friends ponds. I'm always on the lookout for a new pond, lake, creek, river to fish in, right now I'm basically down to 2 spots one is small enough to not need a boat but the other is hard to bank fish from n could use a boat to get farther away from bank. If anyone knows of any spots in Washington and Tangipahoia parishes lemme know plz. I suffer from ptsd, social anxiety, & major depressive disorder so I go fishing to clear my head n usually be alone and hope not have any triggers, which I usually don't have any when I go fishing alone.

Fishing Favorites

  • Species Largemouth Bass, White Crappie(or called White Perch in my are), Bluegill, Green Sunfish, Red-Breast Sunfish, Pumpkinseed, Reds, Specs, or anything that bites the bait
  • Waterway Bogue Chitto River, a friend's private pond, family friend's abandoned gravel pit, Sunset Point...looking for new locations tho fresh, brackish and also saltwater. I'm going to pull out Google Earth and see if I can find some hidden gems in the middle of the woods.
  • Lure H&H Cajun Spin white grub w/black stripes, crankbaits, chatterbaits, Texas rigged brush hawg, frogs, poppers, whacky rigged Yum Dingers and even Culprit curly tail worms, actually my favorite bait is whatever the fish are biting
