1. Details: Largemouth Bass with a 3/4 oz football jig

Caught this fatty pre spawn at quail creek in st George. Fish were suspended about 3 foot off the bottom so I was doing big hops to get reaction bites. It's ...more still way too cold to fish in the northern area of the state, hopefully in a month the water temps will get up to the higher like they were down there. Caught it in 25 feet of water after a small rainstorm. Fishing was really slow.

  2. Details: Brown Trout with a Peacock zebra midge size 20

Another nice brown from yesterday. Caught this one on the same rig as my last post, except I had on a pink Ray Charles and 2 small midge patterns. Fish seemed to ...more be more in the shallow fast moving pockets. They were definetly eating BWO emergers in the afternoon. A few hatches kicked up but fish weren't hitting the surface.

I believe it's made of wood. It's an old rapala DT series and after I painted it I just superglued 3D eyes on.

I haven't seen anyone catch one on a spinner or lure yet. The only people that are getting anything are bait fishermen and fly fishermen. I caught around 20 ...more yesterday and saw a bait fishermen that...

  9. Details: Golden Rainbow Trout with a Small 2" white tube jig 1/8th oz head

Fishing was really slowing down towards the afternoon so I decided to go deeper and try something else. Caught this one in about 25 FOW with a slow presentation ...more lifting it about 1' off the bottom and then letting it drop on a slack line. Fish are shallow in the morning and more active, ice is around 5" thick but the weather has been really warm lately so use caution.
