    I've herd a lot of false albacore have been moving in hitting bright shinny baits. Figured I would tie a clouser out of all flash and burn it across the top ...more of the water where they are schooling. Not sure if this works but I'm giving it a go. What's your opinions on a all flags clouser on bright sunny days?

    Went out today to scout a pound for opener of goose hunting next Friday and figured I'd bring a rod with me. The fishing was good for a mid afternoon topwater ...more bite.

    It was overcast with not much wind out and I started pitching a jig. I was only getting short strikes and that's when I threw a top water. Walking a spook ...more casting at the bank and caught these 2 nice smallmouth. Then I saw a nice thick weed patch and tied on a frog and caught this nice largemouth. Not a bad few hours out with my buddy!

    Just picked up a 7' heavy action st.croix avid inshore rod paired up with a Abu Garcia 6600 c4 for when I go fishing on my buddies boat. Can't wait to get ...more out fishing and see how this rod feels with a nice chunk on it. Anyone have this rod and what do you thing?

      @Matthew_L @rjstaab929 I have about 10 st.croix rods and I love them all too. I can't wait to get out and fight a nice striper or blue fish on this thing

      Love the st croix, I've got several plus an avid fly rod, awesome, and the best customer service (probably won't need it though)

      You're going to love it, you can't go wrong with the st croix ! I have a dozen of them from my tournament bass rods to surf casting all perform

    Put a hurting on the stripers today. This one is 18 pounds my buddy jesse got a 24 pounder, Ricky got a 30 pounder and we got a 14 pounder also.
