Lake cuyamaca 6-15-15. Trying for a sturgeon and ended up with this guy. 6lber though .

2nd time in 2 years this crap happened. Careful when both hooks get the bottom lip and the bass shakes his head.

Didn't hurt, river2sea uses good sharp hooks. Kinda tough breaking through the callus though. Did exactly that. Pushed though (finally) crimped the barb n fished ...more on. Didn't bleed either.

Luck you got it in the callus of your hand, might not even bleed! I got one thru my thumb NAIL a few year back with a 20 in grouper still on the lure.
