1. First walleye on a jigging rap for me... Awesome battle on the St Croix Eyecon and was able to detect the subtle bite on the erratic drop action in some current. ...more Not sure I’d have felt the hit in that scenario without a good walleye rod hahaha. I don’t walleye fish a ton so this was my best in quite a few years!

    1. I love those jigging raps!
  2. Fall Smallie feeding frenzy is on. This fish had a big ol’belly. Looked like me after Sunday football snacking hahaha. Typical fall pattern- found Smallies stacked ...more on shallow sunbathed flats adjacent to deep holes with current. Did some working from the “boat office” so look’n good with my headset on oh yeah...

Yeah Dennis the walleye I posted barfed up some minnow remnants too.

      Good one
    3. The Wisconsin river systems is just packed full of foo right now. The little walleye on Castle Rock and Petenwell Lake just puke out the minnows when you catch them

  5. Topwater season started this morning for me! This chunk fully cleared the water on the hit. Love it. Found fish in 4-9’ depths with best top water fishing at ...more dawn and then got a couple more mid morning on jointed off set spinners.

Solid fish! Thanks for sharing the rundown. Nothing better then top water!
  6. A short and tough outing, but my only fish was a nice bonus Crappie! 14” on the head with mouth opened, but I guess 13.5” if you don’t count that method 😉. Let ...more it go since the Crappies were still finishing up spawning.

  8. Caught several 13-14” Smallies casting onto small 2-4’ deep sand flat with a mild slack water eddy. Fish were hitting in 5-7’ depth on the medium diving Shad Rap ...more along the drop off with 15-20’ depth heavy current channel adjacent. This spot was getting nice late afternoon and early evening sun and I think that turned them on as similar spots were not producing on the more shady side of the area. No big ones this day though... get them next time hahaha!

Thanks for the info Tony! :) Thats too bad about the app. im sure they will fix it.
    2. Tony Callies 0
There’s something wrong with the conditions part of the app. I put 58 degrees weather temp and 50 degrees water temp and it keeps changing it
    3. Sammy B Good 0
Hey Tony, what was the water temp. where you were fishing?
      Thanks

Well it was a nice 58 degree spring day but the weather data keeps turning the water temp into the air temp lol
