1. Details: Yellow Perch with a custom jigs & spins glazba

Really liked the Glazba jig. Tungsten jig with a shiny crystal at the nose. Heavy enough to get deep fast, not too big. Tipped it with a small grub tail and a ...more spike. Caught a couple dozen perch in 3 hours, but all 7-9” so none kept. Just couldn’t find the better ones today...

  2. 3’ off bottom. Very finicky bite.

  3. Probably my last Smallie of the year, but ya never know. Fish were not on the flats or breaks today (or at least not biting). Thought they would be with sunny ...more and 58 degrees but I guess it’s been too cold... Managed a few out deeper in channels near breaks and they were nibbling not slamming. This fish hit twice before connecting and I missed a couple on follow ups that didn’t commit. Time to go to the finesse the rest of the way...

      ...57 degrees not 44 lol
  4. It’s always great to fish with family! Took my cousin Matt out and got him on a few Smallies in the rain. He helps me with boat stuff so it’s always a pleasure ...more trying to return the favor with some informal guiding LOL! Nearing the end of our Smallie season with cooling temps, but we got these last Saturday on a 2-5’ deep sand flat adjacent to a 20’ deep channel. Fish were directly on the flat and hanging on the break and hitting medium diving cranks. No more top water for me this year 😢 but still fun to throw cranks! Hope to get out this weekend for one more Smallie chase. Fall on Lake Wisconsin is so beautiful and fishing time is so precious when the warm days are dwindling. Have fun out there everyone!

  6. Thought I had a huge Smallie and then wuh wahhhh it was a Sheephead. Thing fought hard for a while then pooped out vintage Sheephead style. A fun battle in a peddle ...more boat. These are way bigger than the WI River Sheepies I’m used to LOL!

  7. I’d love to say, “My first fish on Lake Michigan” but my first fish was a 11” Smallie minutes earlier. My first time out on Lake MI and it was on a peddle boat LOL! ...more I went for a ride to say the least. I’m staying at a resort with my wife for a few days and was politely asked not to bring the boat. Doh! Well I snuck out early morning and got this Classic Great Lakes tank!

  8. A great 4-jump fight on the Plopper, which is why I love it. Hahaha I really did use other stuff today for first hour out but it’s hard not to revert back to top ...more water in August when fishing is tough and you have cloud cover... Another rocky shoreline with a bit of a flat adjacent to very deep swift channel.

  9. Love this spot- it’s a well known multi species producer; a skinny sandbar point between two deep, heavy current channels. (Hence the dorky life jacket- I don’t ...more mess around in my small boat on the WI River hahaha).

  10. No luck on plastics this morning so went top water since there were some clouds. Tried the new 70 size plopper and it is nice. Fatter than 90 and about same length ...more and book size. This helped since it was breezy this morning. Worked well off rocks with current and deep water adjacent.
