    5. I just got my first one a couple of days ago. That thing is really unfair to the bass. (not that I am going to stop using it though)

  3. I failed miserably jigging for walleyes so I ploppered it up near dusk and the top water blowups were plentiful baby! Then I got drenched on the ride in just when ...more I was riding high...LOL

  5. A double for me and my buddy Pat. We were crushing the Smallies with no cell service, which spared us the agony of knowing our beloved Badgers were pissing their ...more season away to BYU... #silver lining

  7. One of a couple top water blowups off boulder shoreline along main channel. Top water was no good once sun got up and switched to spinners and senkos to get a few ...more more.

  8. Details: 15 lb. 26 in. Flathead Catfish with a chartreuse jointed deep diving rapala

Was trolling a deep diver and had what would have been my first flathead on; it was a blast. Sometimes you forget, catfish hit lures too! Perfectly hooked in the ...more mouth. No net so I was trying to grab it by the mouth and he thrashed and snapped my line. Great battle and a good story to go with.

  9. Caught a bunch of these 14-17” Smallies schooled up on this one spot right before and just after some storms. Great morning on the water; caught some fish, dodged ...more some storms, got help from a stranger getting off the water in rough conditions, helped some other guys myself. A lot of what’s great about fishing happened.

15 in. Smallmouth Bass with a whopper plopper, yeah that’s right

Jenna- the main lake is tough to fish in July-August so I've been up on the river looking for rocks, holes and eddies for Smallies. I like to cast so I've ...more accepted the fact that I'm going to catch less fish than live bait. A lot of folks I know fish live bait along the channel beds and deeper holes and breaks. Hope this helps and good luck!

I have not had a lot of luck on Lake Wi-the how it's done comments give me some hope haha

Thanks Jeff! I was hanging my head because I unexpectedly went out during a huge bass tourney but it ended up being a really fun morning. Gotta love it...

Thats swwweeet!!! Yeah last year i took a trip to Minnesota and drove from Mi.. I NEVER SEEN SO MANY EAGLES IN MY LIFE.. granted we did see a lot going threw ...more Wisconsin also, But it was like as soon as we hit Minnesota, BOOM!! EAGLES EVERYWHERE LIKE ROBINS ARE TO US HERE IN MI! Went up there hunting, made out to be one of the most memorable hunts ever, because of ALL the wild life. tight lines buddy! 🎣🎣🎣🎣
    2. Tony Callies 0
Agreed- love the eagles! We're blessed in WI and the eagles have really repopulated well since the 90s, even here in southern WI. Lucky for me there are lots ...more near the WI River, and there are even a few in Madison itself where I live - probably because of the lakes...
    3. Jimbo Harwood 0
Lmao. nice!! Gotta say though when i see something like that out in the wild (eagles), its breathtaking, get lost in the moment.. we dont have a lot of eagles ...more around so when we get to see one here its that much more special.. lol. 🍻
    4. Tony Callies 0
It felt like freedom for sure LOL! You could've taken a photo of me and it would have looked like an old Hamm's bar sign!
