1. Toothy-one top water blow up! It just torpedoed the plopper 15 ft from the boat. Great fight and just a blast on the St. Croix Bass-X! My personal best Northern ...more (kind of pathetic but I don't actively target them). Glad I bought some grown-up rods and reels this spring and set aside the 15 year old ones hahaha!

Tony, that is a nice northern, especially since you caught it on a top water. If you are into trolling crankbaits, larger northerns (up to 42") can be caught ...more in Mendota between 28' and 32' as there seems to be a breakline around most of Mendota at those depths. Before moving away 10 years ago, I caught several over 40" and lots of 36" to 39" ones plus some nice walleyes and smallmouths -- and they were all at those depths right near the bottom.
  2. Caught over emerging weeds. It was a blast on my new St. Croix Eyecon. I suck at Walleyes so it is working nicely as a Bass rod LOL!

  3. Smoked the off set spinner over emerging weed line near break.

    1. Nice bass.....rocking that Fishidy t-shirt
  5. Decent pike caught on the edge of some emerging weeds that are holding largemouth bass that are ready to spawn. The Bass wouldn’t budge but this guy was hungry! ...more Frustrating to float over fish that wouldn’t bite all day but they’ll come around...

  6. Slow outing on an extremely rare day off for me. This Chunky Momma is about to drop some weight with water temps slowly warming...

Ha! Same thing happened to me this weekend! 36" musky out of nowhere. I'll take it though!
