About Red Snapper

Color is pinkish red and fades slightly underneath. Long triangular snout. The anal fin is sharply pointed rather than rounded. They have a sloped profile, medium scales, a spiny dorsal fin, and laterally compressed body. Young fish have a large dark spot just below the back part of the dorsal fin that fades with age. They also have a red eye.
