Rob, thanks, I email Bob, nice guy very helpful. He said fish the deep weed edges, for wlleye and muskie. Forgot to ask, him, how do you find deep weeds and there ...more orientation on Spider? You might see a few weeds under water but how do you follow which way there running once there to deep to see? Can you see and follow them with a depth finder? I have not used one much but will have on the pontoon we rented! Sorry to bother you with this! Thanks again!

Thanks buddy! I will call Bob Wick, at Spider Lake Motel! We fished Spider since the mid '50's!!! My uncle and his buddy owned Bear Paw Lodge for a few ...more years in the mid '50's, before it was a campgroud! The fishing was amazing then! Walleye off the pier at night! (were in are '70's now!) Haven't been back in many years. Used to get walleye off the deep side of Candy Is., at night jigging minnows too, limit out when it was 5 per per! Crappie in Brewers Bay! It all changed! Got to go back one more time! Thanks for the help, Rob!

last time I fished the spider lake chain was early September. I found perch on the North side of North lake. I didn't fish for any crappie or walleye. Early ...more September was slow. Perch, largemouth bass, and northern Pike were all I saw in the boat. I stay at Spider Lake Motel. Bob Wick, the owner, grew up on that lake. He knows that lake well. He gets daily reports from the guys staying at the motel. Maybe give him a call. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck.
