Fishing early or late in the day is suggested due to the heavy recreational boat traffic. Look for largemouth, Northern Pike, Walleye, muskie, Bluegill and Crappie.

Took my kids to camp yesterday, but made time with "Pops" Terry out for a Father's Day fishing trip today.
Still working the same pattern as last ...more week, but had to work a bit harder at it without as much wind today. Caught around 20 LM up to 19" with most 13-16", a handful of pike and rockbass as well.
Tried fishing some rocks with a skirted grub for a bit just to mix it up, caught 2 very nice LM and a 20.5" SM.
Nice day. Looking forward to hitting some other lakes the rest of the week.
Out yesterday with my oldest son and his friend chasing LM. Wind has been a big factor the last week, but the fish are still biting off-shore and on the flats.
Nothing ...more fancy: Grubs and jigworms in the open areas, wacky, shakey heads or skirted grubs in the protected areas/around the rocks....put about 25 LM, a couple small pike and several rockbass in the boat between 9am-Noon.
Out today for a bit with my dad. Got a bit of a late start, but was on the water a little before 9. Water was low to mid 60's. Lots of bass defending fry in ...more the spawning bays.
Mainlake areas have some very dirty water with some sort of suspended load...fishing in areas with those conditions was fairly slow, but we managed to scratch a couple together.
Spent some time looking for some cleaner water and got on something that was working reasonably consistently when we found it.
Caught a mixed bag of LM and SM, but had to work a bit to get them. 15+ LM up to 18", but most were 13-15" with a couple that were 12". Mostly schooled up fish. Moved to some gravel transitions and had a handful of SM 13-16" Hard to hit consistency with so many areas with that dirty water. Also caught one Rockbass that was 13" and a couple of hammer-handle pike.
Tip: Find bait and weeds together....stick around. Doubly true if the water you're looking at is on the cleaner side.
Cheers,
CT
